Hi all!

I have a new bank out for Diva, Transitions Vol.2. This bank includes 150 presets and makes use of Diva's new the JP-8000 & Uhbie modules.

I was very honored when my first Transitions bank found favour with Thrillseekers, along with many other artists.

“Just have to say a massive thanks to AiynZahevSounds for the excellent Diva ‘Transitions’ bank. 3 patches and counting in my current tune.”

And speaking of Transitions Vol.2:

“Any U-HE Diva users making trance, you must get your hands on this bank of sound by AiynZahevSounds. Quality.”

Check out the free patches to get a taste: http://www.aiynzahev-sounds.com/free/

Well, not sure which sounds are Diva and which are Razor but overall sounds like a nice "bread'n'butter" set with the occasional extras on top.
Lovely vibe going @ about 2:30

If we're talking about the Soundcloud file, that is all Diva. It's the beatport player that is the remix I did which has a couple of other things too.

Oh yeah, was talking about the SC file... missed the remix, cool one btw! :tu:

Yeah I didn't make it clear enough!

That remix was fun. It's still open for submissions too!

Hi Sami,
The SC song is quite good! I don't know how useful it'd be as a showcase of the presets though. The description you give makes it hard to pinpoint which sounds are Diva. It might be ok if paired up with another pure-Diva showcase. With that said, the sounds in the SC demo sound dancefloor-ready imo. Very nice work.

That's a good thing! Today's dance has far too many lyrics, dubstep-inspired inharmonic sounds, harsh buzzers, and the slow pitchbend build-ups that grate on me to no end. Sahsa and Digweed championed a minialistic style that I still return to. Your interpretation of their style is quite good too. :)

lol, Thanks but I think I need to totally re-word my introduction!

Everything in the soundcloud file is Diva, everything except the drums and voices of course. And when I say voices I mean the obvious vocal samples, because I have an almost Gregorian chant thing going on in the mid-section which is Diva!

The thing that is mixed is the Moby Remix, which is posted on beatport.

I thought about it for a long time and I've concluded I am not being nostalgic. There were aspects to the older dance music that are just not in fashion anymore which I love.

I think it's in no small part down to the change in technology, when you have fewer synths which have less complexity you layer more and rely on interesting patterns and melodies. I think it's also just style changes over time, they back then liked rhythmic hypnotic patterns, people now like a lot of either funky sorts of stuff or "BIG" sounds.

Kind of like complex and intricate art vs minimal shapes and bold colours.

The pendulum will swing back toward minimal, as it must.

Rothko never goes out of style. Neither does minimal music.

I agree completely and miss complex intertwining of melodies in "dance/trance/whatever you wanna call it". This older style felt more like a sunrise where the modern stuff feels like I'm sitting in front of a strobe light. Some people might like that kind of aural onslaught (say that 5 times fast!) but I prefer the former. :)

I look forward to that day when people say, "wobble bass? that's soooo 2012!"

And Rothko is excellent but I prefer Mondrian, especially his use of whitespace, much like the spaces between notes.

Ok, I'll stop derailing the thread. Nice work Sami on those sounds!!

Sounds nice. If Aiynzahev is not your real name, what's the story behind the screen name (if you don't mind me asking)? The free patches from (Zebra) Sphere motivated me to purchase that from you (hint hint). ;)

Thanks. Well I wish there was a story to be honest. There isn't, it's just a mixture of words that sounded nice to me!

Edit - I can say a little more than that I guess. Being Arabic and a big fan of Hebrew & Aramaic I wanted to mix some of my favourite words. Aiyn (A as in angel) is the word all three languages share for eye. Zahev is hebrew for Gold. The eye in this context however is the eye in the ground, a water spring.

Aiynzahev,
That is interesting. Looking at your photo, I thought you looked Middle Eastern, but the screen name sounded kind of Russian to me. That's why I asked where you're from in my e-mail to you. I know about three words in Russian, Hebrew, and Aramaic combined, though biblical stuff interests me. Send me a private message if that sort of thing interests you.

I miss this style of music and would gladly pay for an entire album like this in 2014. Its the musical journey which is better than the instant gratification. The promise, anticipation of something special, Sasha & Digweed were the masters of this.

Sami I enjoyed listening to your demo and only wish that the enjoyment would continue.

"Please Sir... can I have some more"
