Well, if the crash bug is the one that we fixed a few months ago, yes it's fixed.

I can not give you definite answer to your question because sometimes things only happen in very specific situations. There were issues specific to mouse drivers, system language, computer battery and other things that we can not possibly test ourselves. Therefore, while I'm pretty sure that above bug is history, I can't ever be sure. That's why we do public testing, and today is pretty much final call to report a serious bug to be fixed before official release.

The latest beta is indeed working now in Orion 8.605 (Beta)!

Was using 8.5 standard when experiencing the crashes but hopefully it was your fix and will work in Orion latest public versions. Must say though, some really interesting and unusual sounds bazille is capable of! Good luck on the future release.

Need? Of course not, you already have ACE and Diva(and possibly other great synths) and there are tons of free synths and samples out there as well. It is a fun synth though and that's what ultimately answered this question for me. Already have Zebra which is it's own universe that I haven't nearly mastered, but Bazille is just really freaking cool in a different way and that made it worth it for me as well.

Not so much overlap either, ACE is more virtual analog as is Diva, Bazille brings together a few digital techniques in it's oscillators, it's a different aesthetic. I actually bought ACE at the same time as Bazille for this reason, had a lot of fun playing with the Bazille demo and I didn't really have anything in my arsenal that had that analog feel like ACE has, I thought they'd compliment each other nicely

Modular monsters may not be your thing if you're always on a tight deadline though, especially where Bazille doesn't have a simple pre-routing like ACE does, you always have to wire everything yourself. If you can use presets as is that is of course quick, but some edits may require re-routing many cables. For that matter having a lot of synthesizers in general isn't necessarily conducive to quick production, having a few that you really know inside and out is faster. Zebra probably strikes a better balance between ease of use/speed and being super versatile

Learning Zebralette first should be quite helpful should you decide to get Zebra. I just dove straight into Zebra and I mostly started with combining traditional methods like FM and filters and such, took me way too long to start using the osc FX which are also great

Sounds like Zebra is more up my alley for the time being.

The previous night that I read the Zebralette manual I made a jam simultaneously to see how things worked out "in real life". Turned out the workflow was quiet ok. I think im going to work with it for a while until I fully grasp it, its capable of doing most stuff I need already. It certainly sounds decent. When I feel I have mastered it I might be ready for the Zebra high-school.

Here is the first day (in children school) jam. (dark/forest psytrance style) Everything is Zebralette except the snare and the hat. I couldn't figure out how to make those sounds without a noise generator.

Bazille changed my life. I haven't used Ace yet, so I don't know how much different the sound is but Bazille sound is very special.

This synth seems capable of some real gone sounds. But I suspect that folks with more experience at digital formats could crank them out quicker than the humble tweaker. I'm confidant that much of the 1700 will be killer. Making the synth requisite.

I feel that Bazille is pretty unique in the world of software synths. It gets as close I've heard to getting analog filter FM response in complex patches. Lots of sweet spots. For the price, it's pretty amazing that you can get this kind of sound in the box.

Indeed. I'm incredibly excited, dunno how I'm gonna sleep. I've gone from "meh, might buy it with some spare cash some day" earlier today to transferring money from my ISA account and purchasing it straight away. I love this thing.

Just playing around with the sequencer and Live's "configure" tab. I did not know you can configure the output jacks of some of the parameters, like "rotate". So now the rotate target is controlled by a turn of a Push controller encoder, cycling very quickly through all possible targets. This is awesome in itself. I don't think I can contain myself.

I haven't properly got to grips with the sequencer and it's various settings, yet. Sure, I've done a few patches with it, but mostly via a lot of fumbling... Guess it's time to read the manual again, a bit slower this time

All I do know about it is that it's amazing. I've never seen a seq with multiple taps before.
