But I think that the diagnostic is the good one.

Ok this seems to be a bug wrt using front panel pictures: The picture file path is not made relative. Will further research and fix in a next update. Don't worry about your creative work, it will not be lost.

I would be you I would have done this:bibz1st wrote:
- I created a folder on the desktop and inside that are the Project file, the Mux file and the image.
- I then open Mulab and open the Project from that folder, open the Mux from same location and edit the image location to that folder also.
- I then re-save the Mux in the same folder overwriting if necessary, then save the Project also overwriting. What am I doing wrong?
- When I open the MuProject file using right click/ EDIT, in among all the gobbledygook it shows that the image file is indeed in that folder so I dont know whats wrong, probably something blindingly obvious
- I created a folder in the folder MuLab 6\User\Library\MuProject and inside that are the Project file, the Mux file and the image.

Try drag-dropping the muproject file onto the MuLab startup panel (the one with vertical buttons) or on the main project window.runaudio wrote:jo after opening up the zip i send it to the desktop then open the muproject folder click the mulab icon and i get that message

And in my opinion, your project working perfect on your computer, try this:BlackWinny wrote:I would be you I would have done this:bibz1st wrote:

Nothing else. I think it would have been enough.
- I created a folder in the folder MuLab 6\User\Library\MuProject and inside that are the Project file, the Mux file and the image.
- Open it in your Mulab.
- Save it in the correct folder (a subfolder of \User\Library\MuProject which is the one by default).
- Put also your image in this folder and the MUX file.
- And make sure that your project takes these files in this folder, and never more on the desktop (rename the folder which is on the desktop, don't delete it of course)
- and try to see if your project works again correctly.
- Successive retouches will be probably needed to reach the correct state.

Very strange. Never experienced this, nor did i hear of such issue before. Maybe there are special characters in the file path?

There is a M6.5.29 update in http://www.mutools.com/forsythia/
This update fixes the relative file path issue for front panel pictures.

No no, don't retitle it. The fun will come. Take that as an epic intro before the main part...bibz1st wrote:I will try all suggestions as soon as I can.
