I don't think so - I'm thinking of a more specialised physical modelling instrument with modules that model different acoustic sound sources, modal and comb synthesis are good but they are more generalised. Think of what can be done with Tassman but with a more modern approach, or a polyphonic Yamaha VL.hakey wrote:Modal synthesis has been mentioned for Z3. That and the comb filters covers physical modelling pretty well.

I'd like to see u-he do an additive synth similar to (but of course better than) Harmor/Razor/LazerBass. I know Zebra can do additive, but the partial editor could really use some upgrading.

A nice U-He sampler, drum synth or physical modelling synth would be great options in my opinion.
I´ve got drums and physical modelling covered with Sculpture and Ultrabeat, what i do not have is a nice, compact and lightweight but full of features sampler.
A drum synth with a lot of synthesis options would be great, not just analog drums, a full hybrid monster! Multi-timbral, with time based effects like Glitch or Effectrix, i think that would be awesome.
Having said that i would buy all of them because i like everything U-He.
The last thing i would like to see from U-He is an EQ, sincerely. I am happy with the ones i have.
What i would like to see is an upgrade of the Uhbik series. Expansion of the existing units with modulations and addition of new units. And an optional rack system with macro controls for multiple parameters of the FX units and MSEGs, LFOs and envelopes assignable to the various units parameters. (Zebrify has all of this but i would like to see Uhbiks with it also)
Of course i would not expect this to be free.

I'm hoping that Z3's oscillators will offer deep additive stuff. Along the lines of Reaktor's sinebank, which is the basis for Razor's addditive and Prism's modal synthesis.blackflag wrote:I'd like to see u-he do an additive synth similar to (but of course better than) Harmor/Razor/LazerBass. Z3 ! please don't waste time on a synth where all sound could be part of Z3, like hive for example.. you could have made z3 with a hive oscs module insteed .. i think most people like powerhouse synth where they can make all their sound insteed of having 10 synths to learn

IMHO there isn't a good, modern and well featured drum machine. Termor is a CPU hog, the others are emulations. Microtonic is a little bit long in the tooth.
I would love to see u-he take on the synth engine, something analog modeled but going further.
