Think he is referring to convolution reverb

So explain what you mean by 'white noise reverb', then.Jedinhopy wrote:But convolution reverbs introduce latency. Even if the predelay is set to 0.AudioTraveler wrote:Think he is referring to convolution reverb
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

For example the wet audio signal in (Fruity Convolver) is not delay compensated with the dry audio signal.Tagirijus wrote:Do they?Jedinhopy wrote:But convolution reverbs introduce latency. Even if the predelay is set to 0..... well even if they do, I have to admit that I do not notice any delay, when using convolution reverb.
The dry audio signal will always be heard before the wet audio signal, no matter if you have removed the beginning of the impulse response wave file.

Sure that you do not listen to the early reflections of the IR? I still cannot hear a latency - I also tried Fruity Convolver.Jedinhopy wrote:For example the wet audio signal in (Fruity Convolver) is not delay compensated with the dry audio signal.

Just so you know FL Studios delay compensation doesn't even work correctly.. so doesn't surprise me if you have issues with playback.Jedinhopy wrote:For example the wet audio signal in (Fruity Convolver) is not delay compensated with the dry audio signal.Tagirijus wrote:Do they?Jedinhopy wrote:But convolution reverbs introduce latency. I think you both might mixing something here. Fruity Convolver does not introduce latency at all. The delay compensation throughout any plugins that introduce latency does work, though. Any examples what does not work? Maybe it could be worth a bug report in the IL forums.

then say that, instead of using meaningless or ambigous terms like 'white noise reverb' which have no established useage.Jedinhopy wrote:A reverb tail that is 100% random.whyterabbyt wrote:So explain what you mean by 'white noise reverb', then.

If Fruity Convolver introduces latency or not is another story, however last time i used FL its delay compensation wasn't working and that was after they supposedly fixed it.. And i don't use FL anymore had enough so many years of patience wasted.Tagirijus wrote:I think you both might mixing something here. Fruity Convolver does not introduce latency at all. Wow, the third made-up-term of existing plugin concepts within 1 month!whyterabbyt wrote:then say that, instead of using meaningless or ambigous terms like 'white noise reverb' which have no established useage.Jedinhopy wrote:A reverb tail that is 100% random.whyterabbyt wrote:So explain what you mean by 'white noise reverb', then.
Multiband Stereo (Signal) Meter = 1/3rd Octave Frequency Spectrum Analysis
Brickwall EQ = LC/HC with very steep filter curves
White Noise Reverb = Reverb with a 100% random reverberation tail (aka, most good(!) algorithmic reverbs on the market)
What's next? Low signal/noise floor blocker? Oh wait, that's a Gate.
Just you wait, people. In about 2 months, you'll read these descriptions in magazines and blogs - and then people assume this is "the correct new term" or some other stupid crap like that, then things spread like a wildfire. Then I feel sorry for the poor souls that don't use the descriptions - because you're "just not in the loop".
