Yes to both.

I'd like to make the key assignments customizable. It'll take a bit of time to get there, but one day I hope I will. Same goes for a text entry method for hosts that don't give us any other option.

Bumping an old thread I know... I'd just like to say how much I rely on this feature, and have been ever since Urs posted how to unlock it here. A proper game changer for me, really.

It's always been working flawlessly on my mac desktop (with various DAWs), but I can't get it to work at all on my Win10 laptop

Urs, if you ever have enough time to make it work properly, at least one of your numerous customers / users (me) will be tremendously happy and thanksful.
