I've tried multiple options to remedy this, like disabling my firewalls and such. Is anyone else having this issue. Are the installers corrupt maybe?
Yea, I tried to rum this file and the complete installer file. Neither works. Nothings I have tried has worked in the last 3 days...

Seeing what the amazing things the bass riffer can do, it seems very doable to update the strummer engine of the guitars to incorporate strum legato and hammer-ons/pull-offs into the interface. But if the strummer can be updated to include these features, then might as well take the next step and integrate a guitar riffer to the strummer, so that during a solo, you can program through the interface instances of single-note riffing (like the bass riffer) as well as integrating switching back and forth from the strum engine for instances where a single-note solo also includes instances of a strum, which sounds much better through the strummer engine than it does when each individual note is inputted into the DAW (as when recording MIDI-out from strummer engine to the DAW). That way, to program a guitar riff, you don't need one track for single-note articulations and another track for strumming to perform a single riff or solo.magicmusic wrote:wow, that look perfect for have solos on ample guitars too. does AME and other ample guitars too get such a riffer ?. when it is release ?
Another feature update for the riffer for bass and guitar would be to expand the settings to 16 bars instead of just 8, but including an option to choose different presets for the first 8 bars and another preset for the next 8 bars, and make it easy to switch them out, which would make it much easier to write composite riffs within a song, where maybe the first half of the riff is a repeated motiff, but the second half of the riff has variations for ending phrases for different parts of the song.
Another thing to add to the wishlist is to include not only blues/rock/metal/jazz based guitar riffs, but also some flamenco/classical style riffs (including rasgueado hand-strumming type riffs) for the Alhambra nylon guitar.
One final thing on my wishlist is for the riffer engine to be able to analyze the harmony of the riff presets, and give you the option to change the scale/chord of the preset. Right now it allows you to just change the pitch of the riff, while the random riff generator does allow you to create new riffs through a chosen harmonic scale/chord. Would be great to combine these features to be able to change the harmonic scale/chord of the preset riffs, or riffs added through midi-drag or tab-to-midi, which would create an even more powerful composition tool. EZKeys has this feature for its pianos/keyboards, but I imagine these harmony analysis engines are not easy to build, though the chord-detection feature in Ample Sound guitar strummer engine already can already do chord analysis.
At any rate, I am very excited about future updates. The possibilities of the riffer for all the AS libraries is going to force me to keep buying more of them.

Thanks for your suggestions, we are making update now.
1. Guitar Riffer can do strum, it combines Strum, ARP, Solo together. but the Strummer also has its place - more convenient for live playing.
2. Yes we will add more bars in the future update.
3. OK, Flamenco and Classical riffs.
4. We are thinking about it, a new option on the Dice can change a current riff automatically. BTW, midi-to-riff and tab-to-riff have been done in the current version.

feature look great, hope it come soon. for me is ok to release soon, when the riffer have a own switch as tab or strummer mode. for the strummer i think usefull when it is able to play 2 bars with 1/16. i switch currently to 1/8 to have 2 bars rythms, but sometimes it sound not so good, because gaps are too long with 2 mute notes in 1/8 settingAmple Sound wrote:Thanks for your suggestions, we are making update now.

I thought it said you can import/drag a midi file into the riffer but I can not get a .mid file into the riffer while it is in Sonar or Standalone mode. I don't see any other way unless you drag it into the string roll.
I can drag midi out of the riffer into my sequencer but cannot drag midi into riffer. I can convert tabs to riffs but no midi to riff.
I have tried making a 1 bar simple midi file to import into the riffer but still no love. I can see something like a small box and 4 sided arrow while dragging the file into the string roll but when I release the mouse button nothing is there. It will also remove the original riff if one is in there.
I have re-installed all bass modules from the latest Full installers and still no luck. Have I misunderstood the about importing midi files into the riffer?
Kind regards,
Rick

You can directly drag a MIDI block to Riffer In Cubase and Nuendo, in other DAWs, you have to export MIDI track to a MIDI file, then drag the file in Riffer. please read

I have read the bass manual, section 5.5.1, and I still can not import/drag a simple 4 beat/1bar midi file into the Riffer.
I'm using windows 7 x64 and Sonar Platinum x64. Please refer to my post above for the things I have already tried.
Do you have Sonar Platinum to try this with? I would seriously appreciate a detailed description of the process you used as the simple pictorial has not helped me accomplish this task.
Kind regards,
Rick Tucker

Did you gentlemen have any luck today? Is there any further information I could provide you to help out?Ample Sound wrote:We will try it tomorrow.
I really enjoy what I can do with the Bass Riffer but would seriously enjoy being able to import a simple midi file into it so I could add fx and articulations quickly.

Did you drag an external MIDI file to Riffer? you can not directly drag MIDI block in Sonar MIDI track.
We tried to drag an external MIDI in Riffer, it works.
Are you using Windows 10? and you opened Sonar with "run as administrator"? the new rule in Windows 10 is that can not drag file into any program which run as administrator.
If you can not drag MIDI in Sonar, you also can open an AShost, drag MIDI into it and save as a riff, then open the riff in Sonar.
