I'll discuss this with the team but as this discussion as progressed I see a few more issues with adding a "Master Track".
The main problem is that Waveform doesn't really have a "Master Track", i.e. it doesn't have a persistent track that other tracks usually route to. In Waveform, all tracks are routed to one of the audio outputs directly (either explicitly or using the default). As Lutin points out, you can also route to other tracks. In Waveform, the master volume/pan applies to all audio outputs and the plugins only get applied to the default audio output.
If we add a "Master Track" in the mixer, this implies a change in the audio routing bus which don't currently have.
The way it is now most clearly reflects the arrange view.

Why do the master levels display audio from tracks that do not flow to the master bus?
As Waveform/Tracktion functions now the default output audio device serves as the master bus. That's fine. And as it currently functions, if the user selects a track destination other than default, that track will no longer be processed with any filters/plugs that are on the master bus. That also makes sense. However, the audio from that track will still affect and appear in the master levels. Why?

Why you want change that? Just rename Master section as Master of every Masters SectiondRowAudio wrote:Yes, good point. I 'll change that for the next release.
