Thank you for the search function in Zebra. I requested feature in 2012 and am so glad it is there. Zebra2 is my desert island synth, I use it on almost everything I have ever written since 2007-ish.

Cannot get both the new Zebra and Diva working (Live 9, Win7 64bit)...
I'm having the well-known "Installation Isue: No GUI ressources..." and "file couldn't be created to C:\Program Files\u-he\Presets\Zebra2\MIDI Programs\Midi.Bank.Cache.txt - this is most likely a problem with file permissions.Check out the FAQ section on u-he.com/cms/faqs to solve file permisson issues."
It was working fine before, I had all my U-he stuff perfectly working with shortcuts to "Diva.data" etc. as described in the FAQ.
Hadn't planned to spend my Saturday morning fixing stupid computer problems...

Urs or anyone at u-he who would know, what are the plans around full ROLI Seaboard support? I can get channel pressure working to modulate something like VCF Frequency by turning MPE off in the Roli Dashboard and selecting "Poly Aftertouch" as the 'Press Mode' instead of "Channel Pressure" (which is clearly the direct opposite of what it should be, as Cubase is definitely receiving PolyPress in "Poly Aftertouch" mode, and Aftertouch in "Channel Pressure" mode.)
But, I can't get the +/-48 semitone pitch bend (thank you, BTW!) to work truly independently per note: the entire chord relationship will remain the same, so it's like it bends the entire chord you're playing. Am I missing something?
If you all could get a Seaboard if you haven't got one already and make it work right out-of-the-box, I would be SO grateful... I've been at this for hours now.

You need to be in MPE mode for the per note pitch bend to work. So if that clashes with poly AT, then you gotta give up poly AT. I assume in MPE mode, Seaboard is just sending a CC instead? So it's easy to have that adjusted in Diva's preferences: you can pick CCs to be used by Control A and Control B modulators. Then just use those modulators wherever you want in the patch.

Obligatory 'what about Dark Zebra?' question, then.Urs wrote:Note that it's important that you do not mix these versions with previous versions - they don't like it, they might crash or show erratic UIs, as we only just found out.

TDZ is not yet updated to v2.8, so that one will continue to work as it used to.

On the page https://u-he.com/products/zebra2/#linuxbeta , the only Linux version I see is 4458 (i.e. 2.7). Where did you get Linux Zebra 2.8 from?

Yeah, but what about the 'do not mix versions' statement I highlighted.EvilDragon wrote:TDZ is not yet updated to v2.8, so that one will continue to work as it used to.

ZebraHZ 2.7 runs next to Zebra 2.8, this shouldn't be an issue as ZebraHZ does not interfere with Z2.8's preset database (which seems to be one issue at hand, since each instance needs to be able to open the database, and if it's in different versions... ugh). The other issue is, opening the Dot Eight theme in Zebra 2.7 or earlier... messy.whyterabbyt wrote:Yeah, but what about the 'do not mix versions' statement I highlighted.EvilDragon wrote:TDZ is not yet updated to v2.8, so that one will continue to work as it used to.

I am at a loss on what to do. I have a laptop and an iMac. Both are essentially the same machine. These updates run fine on my laptop, but my iMac hard crashes every time I try and add these plugins. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing is working. I am at wits end. Any ideas Urs?

There are a few Mac users having a similar issue, we believe that for some reasons the write permissions in a user library folder are not being set, which leads to a crash, because the plugin cannot create the user presets folder.thebedroom wrote:I am at a loss on what to do. If you contact our support (https://u-he.com/support/ -scroll down to the 'contact and bug reports' section), I can send you some instructions on how to manually set the needed write permissions.
Edit: I just saw that you already contacted support about this, I have sent you a reply now.
