Also, alongside the new website and in the midst of preparations for Superbooth next week, updates to Diva and Zebra have been rolled out. Finally!

Free updates - simply download form the website and install!

Note that it's important that you do not mix these versions with previous versions - they don't like it, they might crash or show erratic UIs, as we only just found out. If you currently have VST3 installed, install VST3 over these as well as VST2 and so on. Or simply remove/backup old versions before you install these updates. Despite that glitch, the update worked fine out of the box in more than 99% (if you experience glitches or crashes - let us know - support at u-he dot com -, we're trying to come up with a solution that doesn't have that issue)

Enjoy,

- Urs

^^ the "glitch/crash when old versions remain installed" issue will be added to Known Issues once the team finds the energy to do that

I actually don't know when, but I'm sure Alex will see to that soon!

I've just seen that the Linux version is now linked directly on the Zebra product page. :tu:

Thanks for that! This is highly appreciated! :)

Could you include a list of know issues in the post, Urs?
I was about to write that the big editors are updated slowly when the default size is other than 100% and noticed that this is/was(?) already a known issue in the previous (EDIT: first) zebra beta thread.
Despite of the normal default size the big mod mapper and waveform editors are slower updating than the big mseg editors for me, too (still usable).
[Zebra 2.8 Rev7325, VST2 Win32]

Cheers and congrats for the update and the new website!

I linked the Release Notes.

The enlarged editors are something we can't speed up easily. It really depends on the hardware/CPU, the difference between some of our machines was mindblowing. Please also refer to the user manual, where IIRC we explained this in more depth.

Thanks for the infos! Sry missed the section in the manual, becaus I jumped right in on the new version ;)
Will test on my laptop if it makes a difference there..

There might be a problem with the file rights on Mac. The VST crashed my Live 10 hard. But as soon as I added myself as allows to read & write - no more crashes. The AU worked just fine.

Am I doing something wrong or can the Favourite groups not be renamed?

The Favourites currently can not be renamed. It's already on the improvement request wishlist for future updates.

Yes, we just found out that this might be the reason for some of the mysterious crash reports we are suddenly getting today.
It looks like (for some unknown reason) a few Mac users are not having write permissions in the user presets location. This leads to a crash because the plugin cannot create the user-presets folder on startup.

Urs, could you please clarify by what you mean mix versions please?

Having for example the old vst2 installed, next to the new vst3 i think. It's either or, new version or old version installed, but do not mix them. (pls correct me if i'm wrong)

You're right.

Example: VST2 = Diva 1.4.1 rev 4078, AU = Diva 1.4.3 rev 7325 <- that's a clash

We're working on a permanent fix, and we're a bit bummed because our installer usually bends permissions in everyone's favour (write access to preset folder).

Tx AU here, so all good.
