Found the issue.
The installer installs the ara plugin AND a shortcut to that plugin, which Cubendo does not need... Deleted the shortcut the double appearance disappears .

This issue is know, but there's not much we can do about it, I'm afraid. The problem is that Cubase and Nuendo won't load unknown ARA2 plug-ins and Acoustica ARA is only added to the white list in Cubase / Nuendo 12. For version 11, we can fix the issue by creating a symbolic link in the ARA folder. Version 12 sees both the symbolic link and the "real" ARA plug-in in the VST3 folder, so it is listed twice. If you only use Cubase / Nuendo 12, it is safe to remove the symbolic link.
Best,
Stian

Ahhh...understood. Any idea why it doesn't happen on mac too though?
Not sure if they will but it is customary for a final version of the version before when a new version comes out.. let me see if I can get this added to a Cubendo 11 if there is a final one to come.
thanks

Ah yes. I did some searching on my system and already found the symlink, moved it, and the double entry is gone. Was about to post here and saw your reply.stian wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 3:09 pmThis issue is know, but there's not much we can do about it, I'm afraid. Is there any discussion or insights, about whether Presonus are planning to integrate Acoustica or make other ARA plug-ins available as the hard coded ones?

make some process on ARA2 window, but waveform at Edit window doesn't change.
Is this correct?
Nuendo 10.3.1 on Mac 10.14.6
Before DeNoise
After DeNoise

I did ask, and they didn't want to do that specifically for Acoustica, but as far as I understood, they wanted to make some changes that would apply to all ARA2 plug-ins.

Yes, this is correct, and unfortunately, this is an ARA limitation. The waveform in the host doesn't get updated when the plug-in changes the content.asgard1019 wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 4:10 pm make some process on ARA2 window, but waveform at Edit window doesn't change.

Hi!
Cubase and Nuendo 12 pick up both the symbolic link and the real VST3 plug-in with the ARA extensions, so Acoustica appears twice. You can remove the symbolic link if you only use version 12. On Windows, this will be in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\ARA" and on Mac in "/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/ARA".
Best,
Stian
This is due to Steinberg's decision to block all ARA plug-ins that aren't hard coded into the application. Acoustica ARA was included in the whitelist for Cubase and Nuendo 12, but in order to get shown in version 11, we had to create a symbolic link (shortcut) in a special "ARA" folder.

Hi!
Does the ARA plugin work with Reaper? I've tried adding the plugin on tracks, takes and as a virtual instrument but every method results in "...requires a ARA 2 compatible host application"?

Yes, but please make sure you use the VST3 version if you're on Mac.MarkStephenson wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 12:37 pm Does the ARA plugin work with Reaper?
