Does this mean as of the current beta I need to edit the pitch bend range to my preference for each instrument (or each preset) or can I change a global pitch bend range somewhere for all instruments? Thanks.

New Info: Finally got it working. (See below.)

Any chance you can write the steps down in text format? Due to visual tracking issues, the video makes me nauseous trying to follow the cursor and there is no way to pause the video. Thanks.

I figured out how to change one preset for one instrument and how to lock it momentarily, but you are doing something that goes too fast. By the time my eyes find the cursor its already too late to see what it was.

I downloaded the gif but I don't have a way to pause it.

I got a second pair of eyes to repeatedly watch the animated gif. We dissected it and did each step we could follow. PB keeps going up and down a wildly crazy range even though the PB range is locked at 2.00.

I suspect you are doing something that we cannot see in the gif.

So, I saved two presets renamed as "PB = 2" and both function properly (the PB range is +/- 2 semitones). What are the actual steps that will save me from having to re-write every preset for every instrument?

Go to the global modulators in the Utilities section. At the bottom, there's a red bar called Lock. Activate and open it.

Click on "Learn", set the PB range to 2 and click learn again. Now the pitch bend range should be locked.

If you want to keep it there permanently, go to Settings and Save as Default.

Thanks for the additional detail. We converted the gif to an mp4 which allowed it to be run in a media player so it could be paused at each step. At least six times I had it working temporarily.

I just tried it again with the new step (went to Settings and chose Set default settings in the Global Systems Settings section). Also, your gif shows the red bar already locked. By default mine was not red. So I also had to lock that.

Now the PB range is retained for different Instruments and Presets. :-) Thanks!

I had reverted to 16.00 and after going back to 16.02a, switching Instruments and Presets retain my PB = 2 setting. :-)

Activating the lock is the first thing I show in the gif. But it's at the bottom, so it's easy to miss.

I would prefer to upload videos too, but kvr only let's you upload .gif files up to 1MB, so I have to show things quickly. And I don't want to upload to third-party sites because the links will probably stop working after a while.

I'm glad you were able to figure it out with the additional explanation.
