Interesting idea, but I don't know if it would work well. If the track was relatively quiet last time you changed a parameter, and you click set when the track is louder, it would boost the already louder passage.Held wrote: Fri Jun 02, 2023 4:26 pm I think the idea is for the plugin to start the calculation immediately after a parameter changed. So if you click the Set AGC five seconds after the last parameter adjustment, it is set instantly.
If you press it three seconds after the last adjustment, it only takes two seconds instead of the full 5 until the new gain is set.
At least that's how I understand it. Maybe the Voxengo plugins have an even better solution.

Well, basically what they probably do is to leave it enabled, but do NOT process it. But the problem is the delay is still there. So if you quickly change some setting and then press the button, you'll get an incorrect result. That could be quite confusing.

That would be basically impossible, since it also depends on the input level (plus listening to every change is also pretty much impossible).
