This will certainly be great eventually. Hopefully Cubase gets on it sooner rather than later, my projects are committed to the Cubase platform at this point so alternative hosts like Bitwig aren't realistic for other than playing/experimenting at them moment.
In the meantime, anyone who's been through this exercise found any other MPE-supporting VST synths that have a similar sweet spot of good sound and some of the programming features that zebra has? At this point, I'm mostly thinking of things like all the modulation and modmappers to create different response curves to various control inputs. Even to have multiple different remappings of the same controller for different purposes simultaneously (e.g. mapping breath smoothly to filter cutoff, but with a curve that is mostly flat except for the extreme ends for affecting pitch). The Zebra oscillators with their stereo functions and modulatable oscillator-effects still seem pretty unique after all these years... or did I just miss some other synths in the interim? Or how about the inherent depth/life of Repro's sound (although to me, actual resemblance to a Prophet is not important)?
mpe with diva and repro, with global controller as well

I was thinking that the patches make use of Timbre and Pressure, not just having the typical Mod-Wheel and Macro controls. That it was created or adjusted by someone that made sure that it offers "playability" with a MPE controller.pdxindy wrote: Mon Jun 12, 2023 2:24 pm Not sure what you mean by "fully MPE expressive patches".
With CLAP versions of the u-he plugins, there is currently an issue that pitch bend doesn't work. When the next u-he CLAP betas come out that is likely to be fixed.
Besides that, with Bitwig and Clap versions of u-he synths, one can have unlimited per voice modulation controlled by MPE parameters via MPE controllers. The possibilities go beyond what is usually thought of as MPE.
Yes, the CLAP pitch bend bug is annoying, I cannot use the CLAP version because of that at all. And yes, you're right - CLAP opens up even more possibilities for modulation. Maybe you could argue that MPE is a small subset of that but with a focus on that you control it with your instrument, not just software modulation sources.

I've been using the CLAP versions quite a bit. CLAP Bazille can have various parameters modulated per voice that are not modulatable in Bazille itself.Fannon wrote: Tue Jun 13, 2023 6:48 pm

That's a good description. MPE has been marketed as good for "expressive playing", but as you say, that is a subset of a wide variety of possible modulations that are controlled per note, in realtime, by your fingers on a controller.
Seems like a fairly untapped area to me.
