Certainly aimed at Minimal Music because the sweaters were surely shrinked in the dryer, right?Shabdahbriah wrote: Wed Nov 20, 2024 9:28 pmI've sampled the sounds of the static electricity charge of wool socks and sweaters being pulled from the dryer.audiothing wrote: Wed Nov 20, 2024 9:20 pm Glad you like Arguments, everyone! Funny enough, we once considered making an April 1st plugin with impulse responses somehow derived from Hainbach's collection of sweaters... maybe one day!![]()

Hello all. Can anyone help me out figuring how to sidechain tracks with Arguments in Logic Pro?

Simulate shot noise convolved with various frequency responses. Shot noise -> Fog Convolver 2?audiothing wrote: Wed Nov 20, 2024 9:32 pmA long time ago there was a kontakt library with a similar concept, it was really cool. Can't find it now.martinjuenke wrote: Wed Nov 20, 2024 9:13 pm Plugin idea:
Simulation of a Geiger counter turned into a drum machine.
Unreliable, spooky, nerdy.
Anyway, we have something I'd say close enough to this concept in the works![]()
Edit: Also, how about adding buttons to change the arguments and functions that product non-negative signals with something like sgn(u) * f(u). It might generate some more pleasing results.

hmmmmm i kinda like this effect so far for percussions, gives it a very industrial feel but i can do that with other plugins like RIFT already. still dunno what makes it special or different.
i also need to check how to sidechain it in FL Studio, when i load an audio loop into the playlist i can only effect it in the effects section ?

Yeah, lots of possibilities. And yes, we might add more functions (and arguments perhaps) in the future.Gribs wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2024 10:04 pmSimulate shot noise convolved with various frequency responses. Shot noise -> Fog Convolver 2?

I'm not familiar with FL Studio sidechain, unfortunately, but I guess it will work as in all the major DAWs.Caine123 wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2024 10:07 pm hmmmmm i kinda like this effect so far for percussions, gives it a very industrial feel but i can do that with other plugins like RIFT already. still dunno what makes it special or different.
