Next steps for Bazille

I'd love more focus on the cabled modular concepts from u-he - ACE and Bazille are still two of my favourite synths, but also I'm hyped for z3 and if even half the advancements of hive 2 make it into diva 2 that will dominate the entire VST ecosystem (hopefully providing funding for a buchla inspired third cabled u-he modular lol)

Well, the main thing that bothers me about cabled modular software synthesizers is... cables.
Complex-1 from Reason Studios, or even the late Vaz Modular, allow to choose sources/destinations in dedicated drop-down list boxes. In Complex-1 you can even choose to display only cables or only list boxes.
I suppose Urs would be reluctant to modify the design of Bazille or ACE that way, in order to avoid an overly cluttered user interface, but still… Having the choice to hide cables while maintaining a visual indication of destinations, for example, seems like the best of both worlds.
Dunno, maybe I'm wrong... Anyway, I always find myself spending a lot more time on Complex-1 than on Bazille or ACE for this reason—and also for the whole west-coast aspect, but that's another topic

The ACE UI can be done completely without cables. Bazille's, too. It's just a question of doing it. Maybe some talented UI designers out there can come up with that.

Yes, you're right... You just reminded me that I should spend more time with ACE, which is an amazing instrument anyway.jtsterays wrote: Tue May 13, 2025 6:01 pm Plugmon already made a wireless skin for ACE. Personally I like the wires, not really that confusing + it's quite fun.
I wish Plugmon released the equivalent of its skin for Bazille.

Well, just like "monolith" for ACE, Plugmon's "Tokyo Ghost" skin for Bazille does have a "Ghost Mode" that lets you hide all the cables.WolfKay wrote: Tue May 13, 2025 6:12 pmYes, you're right... I would like BAZILLE's LFOs upgraded; by replacing the current "time increment drop" list with ACE's more useful {"hertz", "sync", "semi", "partial", "subharm"} plus (-50,..0,..,+50) multiplier.

tbh I have gone back to the original skins for Ace, Bazille and Hive - they are just easier to find my way around and less cluttered.
