And what´s the problem???

Your update plan was active when the first beta arrived? This means you´ll get V6 included no matter if your update plan expired meanwhile...
So download and enjoy!
Will try to enjoy as hard as I can.

I think I am going back to Bitwig after a couple of years with Logic - one thing I spent a while trying to turn off was a really distracting playhead blurring trail effect especially in clips - I thought it was a new feature but Google Gemini is telling me it is my monitor not up to the task - I use a M2 Mac and a 4k Dell U2723QE 27" running at 60Hz so it is not that old.. if I can somehow sort that tonight I will buy Bitwig again but I don't know if I need a new monitor too.
Anyone else had the blurring trail when the playhead is moving on Bitwig 6?
Didn't happen on previous versions.

Nope. V5 automatically removed.
Hey Bitwig Devs, maybe not everyone is comfortable jumping right into a major new revision without getting a chance to get used to things / ensure all existing projects are 100% compatible.
Glad I used my secondary workstation to check this.
Thanks you just answered my question as i used my second system to test and got the same but i wasn't sure if i did something wrong or not. I'll stay with 5 for now and test the demo of 6 on my other system.

So you mean like in the image here?

I thought it was meant to do that!

I don't think it is a feature unless Gemini is hallucinating again. I didn't get chance to try it on my macbook screen as I was researching this when I should have been asleep. Yes - I thought it was a cool new trail effect I kept seeing if I could turn off..

That is indeed a new feature and I don't think it can be turned off. An LLM like Google Gemini can not give you information about stuff it hasn't previously been trained on, so it's very unlikely it would know about minor visual effects in a new version of a DAW, so obviously it just made up some shit. (And LLMs can not not hallucinate, they're just sometimes right by chance.)

Yeah "Hallucinating" seems to be some marketing term for "Wrong"!

Don't we all, yet here we are. But hey, you got your answer plus some free advice about when to trust your fellow humans (Hi!) over a confident word salad generator, what's not to love?

Heads up for anyone wanting to keep V5 on their system. Move the Bitwig 5 folder to a new destination and name it Bitwig 5. Then wen installing V6, on the program destination screen of the installer, add "6" to the folder name, so "Bitwig 6", this will install into a new folder leaving V5 installed after you move the V5 folder back.
