I was just kicking it! That's where I went wrong! Thanks!

Wow, I wrote that question before I went to bed last night hoping there would be at least one little answer when I woke up, but DAMN I got a GREAT answer as well as a great lesson in how to use racks.

THANKS a LOT phz!
I really appreciate the effort you put into that answer. :D
Now I gotta go try it out.

BTW you also made clear what a multi-out synth is used for. I was getting ready to ask that question sooner or later.

I've set it up exactly like your instruction states.

I've noticed that DK+ has three AUX outs as well.

Can I route other drum sounds to those(i.e. cowbell, rimshot, ride)

Or are those for routing the groupings
1+2
3+4
5+6
to another component in the rack filter? Let's say a compressor for example.

just tried and yes ... seems you CAN use them as 3 'extra' outs ...

... but aux outputs will be mono i guess (ie - both left and right outs from the rack will be assigned DKA1 or whatever)

Awesome!

You should set up(with Mackie's permission of course)

Thank you very much for a superb tutorial, you've made an aggrevated muso very happy!

I finally setup BFD multi using this in about 5 minutes.

You're a Star!
