I tried MIDIpipe and it came close.... but MIDI patchbay did the trick after a little tweaking in Tracktion....... and Jens, I know who my friends are without you bumping your gums together ..'').... don't you know JACK? Oh,.... I see that you answered your own question.

I basically just split the keyboard into 3 defined sections in MIDI patchbay......like this. First from the MIDI output pull down menu,......click on Edit Virtual Outputs and create 3 Outputs and name them,... say 5,6 and 7. Next, you will be creating a new patch for each of the following..........(1_) one channel mapped to B3 & C4 for KICK, (2) one channel mapped to C#4 & D4 for snare and (3) one channel mapped to anything above D#4........For each new patch, Select your MIDI controller from the MIDI input at the top & check the box --- Only allow data on channels---- and check the channel 1 box. <<<<<<<<Do these for each patch you create.....>>>>>>>>>Then check --------Remap all data to MIDI channel====and choose the Virtual Output that you created corresponding to the channel that you want to transmit on.... You create a patch for each Channel / Virtual Out and then Save As, and name it something like Drums in Tracktion.

Start Tracktion. In settings, in the audio devices tab..under MIDI devices,...you will have to enable 5,6, and 7, which first show up as disabled inputs. On your edit page in Tracktion,..... open the Drumcore filter via ReWire on,...say Track 4. Disable transport sync in DrumCore and select your DrumKit from the pull down menu. You're now ready to send other tracks to Track 4 Drumcore....

Drag Inputs 5,6 and 7,.... which you created in MIDI patchbay (and should now be visible in Tracktion),.... to Tracks 1,2 and 3 respectively and name the tracks KICK, SNARE and PERC. Click on Track 1....and under destination output for this track.....choose Track 4. Do this for Track 2 and 3 as well.....If you like, you can also drag your MIDI controller input in Tracktion to a different track.... to create a master Drum Clip......

You will now get you KICK drum data on one channel, your SNARE data on one channel and TOMS and perc on another. This makes editing KICK and SNARE deficiencies much easier.....

When you have mastered your performance, you can MIDI merge or render them as separate audio files, in order to process them differently.....

This method is money for me..........Being able to use DrumCore this way is sweet,.. as the Drum Samples are awesome..

Hope this helps someone
