Love T2, but I still can't...

Jules and all,
Well, I finally got my hands on the long-awaited T2 demo. I am truly impressed by Jules ability to put out a cool product. Thanks for putting in Midi sync and clock, it definitely helps with a lot of Midi gear I have, like the Korg Wavestation A/D. Thanks again, Jules!
The reason I'm writing though, is because I have a Midisport 8x8/S. Now, the Midisport works just fine with T2, however, it seems as though there isn't a nice way to take a "single" input from the Midisport that has 8 channels active, and put them on separate tracks.
Question:
Is there a way to take the sequence I record (8 midi channels on input 2 of my Midisport) and somehow parse or sort out the conglomeration of midi notes (read: all eight channels on one track need to be parsed out to seperate channels within Tracktion) into some nice sequence that makes editing, etc, easy and clear cut?
What would be nice is if there was a way to put a rack-filter on the "front-end" of each track in Traction (Track 2 thru 9, for example) that would take the conglomerated Midi data on an "input" (e-2-e) track (Track 1) and "filter-feed" that into each of the individual tracks...
Any ideas on this, Jules, anybody???
Cheers,
NexxuSix

are you on PC or mac?
if you're on PC, you can use MidiYoke and MIDIOX to do all sorts of wonderful things with your midi - this being one of them. i have a yamaha QY10, and i wanted to record the 8 midi channels it uses into Tracktion on individual midi tracks. i simply set MIDIOX up to route my MIDI input to the 8 virtual yoke ports, each one set to filter thru only one channel. these virtual ports can then be used in Tracktion as the 'inputs', and it's all split nicely.
if you're on mac, i'm afraid i can't give you any direct advice.

I'm going to give MidiPipe a try, although it looks a bit confusing with no manual..... I'll let you know
By the way, when you use MidiYoke, do you filter the Midi inputs in Tracktion as well as filtering in MidiYoke? Any description of your settings in Tracktion would be greatly appreciated/......

what midiox does is pass thru only data for the desired channel along a connection. the virtual ports (midiyoke ports) that tracktion is then able to use therefore only give Tracktion data for the one channel. the filtering is all done outside of tracktion, so all you need to do is remember which virtual port carries which filtered midi data, and set them up to the desired tracks. hopefully midipipe does something similar? i tried to look into it but as you said there's no manual and i'm not able to run it on my pc to experiment
