Ah sweet, I didn't realize there was already a patch libary page. ThanksIngonator wrote:If you search for Diva presets you could look here:ryandfl wrote:I'm looking forward to bundles of patches being released. Getting good sounds out of the Roland parts is going well for me and the MS-20 filter is easy to make wacky sounds with, but I failing to really interesting sounds out of the Moog modules. It's definitely user error - hopefully I'll be able to learn from other people's work.

Yes, I'm perfectly aware of that.EvilDragon wrote:Are you aware that you're probably one of 0.01% of people not liking the sound?mystran wrote:Whatever, don't like the sound, which is a shame 'cos I was hoping I would.
I'm also perfectly aware that I like noisy slightly chaotic stuff where as most people would prefer not to have their noise floor -60dB below peak. So basically if it's less noisy than the original that's a fault in my book.

Mystran didn't say he didn't like the sound... just not as much as he would have liked for the cpu hit...EvilDragon wrote:Are you aware that you're probably one of 0.01% of people not liking the sound?mystran wrote:Whatever, don't like the sound, which is a shame 'cos I was hoping I would.

Thanks! I should have known you were working towards a comprehensive solution...Urs wrote:Well, offline rendering is not yet implemented, but it will be.
You'll have the choice to set offline rendering to either same or best quality setting. At the moment this happens per instance (so it doesn't change when you flick through presets), but we're also thinking about making those settings individual per preset or global for all instances, if the user so wishes.
It's interesting that as we slowly get closer to actually generating high quality audio rather than just playing it back, we're catching up to video and its long rendering times. Render farms, anyone?

Well, it wouldn't be a completely accurate emulation, I'll give you that.mystran wrote:So basically if it's less noisy than the original that's a fault in my book.
But I'm with those that feel that a high noise floor is one of the less desirable aspects of these old synths (along with price, reliability, polyphony, lack of patch memory...etc.).

a quick demo in 80s electropop/funk flavour
http://soundcloud.com/olikana/olikanadivademo1
priority was making a kickasss minimoog 80s funk bass (that is so elusive to do with softies)....and it does a fine job imo.
the rest of the sounds just cooked up quickly as corollary.
btw all sounds mostly done using the moog modules.
i wasn't convinced about that mooog oscillator module at first...but when u get the sweet spots it's very rewarding.
the 0 feedback filter is super awesome. (and i love how u can adjust it to taste)
anyway the best bass i ever got out of a softsynth...it's the real deal. every sound just fits with easse ina mix.
i'm sold.

Hy Urs,
is it possible to add a global "all fx off" button like in Zebra?
I also miss this in ace really....
Cheers

Thanks for the tip! Sounds great, lovely combo!EvilDragon wrote:@mystran - I agree with Urs that more drive is not realistic for the stuff they're modeling here. Want more drive? Put Schwa Oligarc Drive after Diva. Ingonator did that with great results. I can vouch for excellent results with Oligarc Drive on almost anything, too.

First I didn't like the triple VCO but I'm slowly falling in love with it. It's awesome for some broken drone stuff
Just one held note and some live tweaking:

anyone know what's gonna come next ?
personally i'd love something of the curtis CEM family.
the pro one would be a great example as it has CEM chips for oscillator/filter/envelope.
anyway as long as it's something based on the CEM3340 i'm happy.
CEM3340 vco + CEM3310 EG + CEM3320 vcf would be the dream combo.
also i'd like to see the polivoks modelled, and that should cater for those asking for more "drive"
