Noticed a Big Difference Between Studio one and Cubase 12 here (OPSiX).
Same Preset uses 13% in Studio one and 20-21 in Cubase 12 on windows 10 64bit.
The Gui Is more Laggy in Studio one Compared to Cubase 12.
Hope they will fix this Soon.

You can authorise the demo after purchase (I just did), so they're the same.
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Indeed there was/is some great content for Wusikstation that would be awesome to use in Wavestate but I asked Moss about adding conversion ability and it doesn't look it's possible since there is no documentation for the .wusiksnd format.Examigan wrote: Wed Mar 23, 2022 3:41 pmThat would be really cool. Now if I could just convert old .wusiksnd files that would open up access to about 30 gigs more sample content. I'll try to contact the developer of Moss Converter and see what he says.....

What about Extreme Sample Convertor... would that help?Teksonik wrote: Wed Mar 23, 2022 5:02 pmIndeed there was/is some great content for Wusikstation that would be awesome to use in Wavestate but I asked Moss about adding conversion ability and it doesn't look it's possible since there is no documentation for the .wusiksnd format.Examigan wrote: Wed Mar 23, 2022 3:41 pmThat would be really cool. I'm not sure if they still sell it, but their site is still there:

Wow now there is a blast from the past. Looks like it was running on Win 98. Not sure if it would run on Win 10 but it looks like it can still be purchased.Examigan wrote: Wed Mar 23, 2022 5:11 pm What about Extreme Sample Convertor... would that help?

It does say "Wusikstation 1/2/3/4 Import and Export" although I'm not sure what "export" would mean in this case. If it just stripped out the .wav files it would help.
I'm not even sure if using the proprietary Wusik content in another plugin would fall into "fair use" territory or not even if we have owned it for years. Upon further reflection and considering Wusikstation is still being sold my gut feeling is it would not.
Anyway if Wavestate is a success hopefully sample content providers will be encouraged to release additional content going forward.

that opens up the use cases substantially...is there a reason they are making you go through this extra step?carrieres wrote: Wed Mar 23, 2022 12:15 pmWavestate native/Sample Builder :Teksonik wrote: Tue Mar 22, 2022 9:51 pmYou can point it to a User Sample folder but it wants a " *.korgcompiledbank" so I'll have to figure out how to convert .wav files into that format so I suppose a dive into the manual will be inevitable.

There was a question on another forum about how similar opsix might be to DX7 V.
I pulled them both up and it looks like the basic waveforms to choose from are the same on both,
but you can do much more to them in opsix with the filter, filter FM, and so on.
There are some other similarities, but to me, opsix reminds me more of Massive X.
Not just the design style either. I really like both of them.
opsix also reminds me a bit of Pigments, probably mosyly because Pigments has things like
wavefolding, phase distortion, phase mod, freq. mod, and so on.
Anyways - I think they're all great, and we're lucky to have so much good stuff to choose from now.

With the OP Six, Triton, WaveState, MS20, and PolySix you basically have a software Kronos. I hated my Kronos, so these extra plugins are awesome!
Way to go Korg!

I was thinking the same owning m1, Triton, monopoly, oddysey, OPSiX and wave station + Cherry Audio MS-20.vata44 wrote: Wed Mar 23, 2022 6:51 pm With the OP Six, Triton, WaveState, MS20, and PolySix you basically have a software Kronos. So for me it is a kind of retro kronos because of the pcm difference in the triton but it is a good enough replacement for me

Sorry if this has been asked a few times already, but is there a link to the Wavestate manual?

Probably one of the closest competitors to OPSiX is Image-Line's Sytrus. It has a fully flexible matrix, completely customizable waveforms and tons of modulation capabilities (sequencers/complex envelopes etc). Because I have Sytrus available I'm less inclined to buy OPSiX.. and for DX stuff I have the grand daddy Plogue OPS7 which to my ears sounds the closest to an actual DX7.

It installs with the application. At least on Mac you find it in the Applications folder under Korg/Wavestate Native/Documentation.Examigan wrote: Wed Mar 23, 2022 7:49 pm Sorry if this has been asked a few times already, but is there a link to the Wavestate manual?

I just read my emails this morning after night shifts, so only read the Korg email properly a few minutes ago. $50 crossgrade for hw owners.
I was thinking of getting Wavestate only, but at that price I might just get both. I guess there are times when I occasionally do some music on the laptop away from the studio, so it would be useful (and Opsix is rapidly becoming a go-to synth on everything I do recently). And at $100...silly not to really. Have to upload 2 new OSs and 2 new librarians, but TBH it actually was pretty easy last time. I'd forgotten that Wavestate librarian was an editor too...haven't actually used it yet but I guess it'll be very handy after I get the plugin. f**k the duelling banjos - I can have duelling Opsixes, with a background of duelling heavenly choirs from the Wavestates.
Korg are busy taking over my studio...just need to get a Minilogue now.
