Yes. We'll have the first batch up by the end of the week.

Hi Eric,
As you have suggested several times I wrote to spectrasonics an email regarding upgrade options for me but have not received any answer.
Maybe here you can help me?
I'm an owner of Atmosphere and registered it in May 2008.
I want to know if I am eligible for the upgrade price of $199 and if it is time limited. I'm thinking of purchasing it at the start of 2009.
Also, do you think that by that time the correction patch for the distortion sounds will already be on the DVD so that I don't need to download it from your site?

thank you

Sorry about that...they are pretty slammed right now.

No problem. :-)

Sure, but the download is no big deal either. It installs very quickly.

The Distortion problem was just a simple file renaming thing.

Cheers,

what about CPU requirements??
a P4 3.00 GHz with 2MB ram would be sufficient or not?
please, post also your specs and the number of voices you are able to get! :)

Sure...that's a good system.

System reqs are posted here:

Why did I have to be cheap and NOT go for the 2 Day shipping? :(
Heh... not cheap, you're smart. I tell myself it's an exercise in cultivating patience.

OK I got it installed.
I just played it for an hour....

.... and... the slogan is correct....
This will take a lifetime to explore.

I mean this is so gigantic... it's simply nuts.

I'm speechless.... When Eric said "years of work" he was not kidding!

I am not into electronic music so I was so happy to see a huge amount of
acoustic instrument, traditional instruments, voices, all kind of real life objects, guitar, banjo... and on and on... it's endless.

I just played with the velocity stacked Jazz Vocals.
You hit the same note with different velocity and "they" (your own jazz ensemble)sing different phrases depending on the velocity!
It's amazing and very satisfying to play it live, getting real good results without any effort.

:-o :-o

AMAZING!

Btw, apparently my list of filters was conservative. I'd been looking at the help file and hadn't cross-referenced against my current version. It looks like there are far more filters.

I did the same thing, and have the same date! Why? Because I hate paying for shipping! A few days is not going to make any difference.

eric,

what problems should be expected using omnisphere with 1.25GB ram?

Good to know. I didn't see them in the menu in the interface video. Thanks.

Heheheh....KvR is awesome. :-)

So you've already heard all 4000 sounds from the factory have you? :-)
I'm glad you find my questions so amusing. So far I've heard exactly what everybody else has heard - the patches you've chosen to showcase in your videos and in the contest and the patches Per was kind enough to demo for us. So far all of them have been exactly the kinds of sounds that put me off your last batch of products. Maybe there are 3000 patches waiting for me in the rest of the library that I'd want to use, but without any more information all I can do is guess.

Also, without a demo I can only guess if I'll experience the kinds of problems described in this thread:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3243125

If you guys post the reference manual and a voice list for download when you get a chance it would help but at the moment I just don't feel like gambling $500 on buzz.

1st run Omnisphere! (not me) :-)

Okay, next configuration question:
It may seem off-topic, but this is aimed at Omnisphere!

It seems the Korg nanoSERIES is about to be released --nanoKEYS, nanoPAD, nanoKONTROL.
First off, forget the first...
I was thinking of grabbing the second specifically for MPC style stuff, and using that X/Y pad for Absynth, specifically.
Finally, the last of the bunch (nanoKONTROL); ERIC...
any chance Korg fronted you one of these as a beta tester... as thusly have used it with Omnisphere?
Perhaps have made a template already?
At the price they are asking for it, it seems like a no-brainer, and I'd love to hear if anybody else has considering using this in conjunction with Omnisphere, specifically. :)

Thanks!

I want to say again how much I appreciate the way you are on the forum. I know it must be discouraging the way some people behave. I've seen this happen to other developers right when a product gets released (as I'm sure you've seen also). You have my sympathy. :)
If every KVR member wrote one review a year we'd have 1340 reviews each day!
