Or the opposite problem, an 8 bar intro and then start with the risers and "epic" slow pitchbends up, leading into a first drop at approximately 30 seconds into the track

I agree with the idea of listening to music you don't like to hear what not to do.

After the epic riser, shouldn't there be a break-down, so people can prepare their ears for the next drop?

The only "Fonzerelli effect" I know about was the one described in the '80s "Happy Days" series (part of the '50s revival that took place in the '80s, yes), but anyway what I mean is that I don't discard music as "dated", "passé" or uninteresting just by becaude it uses older sounds or is inspired by past trends. I like new sounds, but making music that uses old sounds in new contexts, mixing genres and making something that doesn't fit in any genre (by having elements of different genres) can sound good and interesting as well (at least to me)

I'm with what ATS said, we can talk all day about music we don't like, but why talk in negatives when we can show music that we do like?

That other people can compare it to "EDM"

Tho honestly if people *are* joining the forums to just post in there over and over, it might be worth it to put, say a 5 to 15 post limit before they can start a topic, similarly to how the forums treats signatures. I think 50 is too much as if you post say 2-3 posts a day (a reasonable amount) 50 or 100 would take you anywhere from a month to three to get in there.

If people know that they will either look for other forums to try to get exposure or spam, so I guess there is a downside but at the same time spamming to up post count will make it pretty obvious who's serious and who's not much quicker and thus to promptly ignore.

you appear to be challenging people to some sort of "acceptable for kvr" screening process. as if you were some sort of arbiter for the site, presumably (seeing as you are active in the cafe) using your work as some sort benchmark for acceptability. why does it matter if my music is "acceptable for kvr" if I think this thread is an unproductive discussion? seemed defensive to me on the surface.

A rise of "Page 22" (post by Jan) rubbish in the Cafe?
