Will have rewrite GUI using old GUI library.DJErmac wrote:I can see no GUI at all, just plain white. The previous version was working fine. Win 8.1 (64), Cubase Pro 9 (64), VST2. Sound is processed, though

I'm not stupid - checking out if a new tool will work with your audio material will always be the case. In fact, I did that with the initial release and gave up after 2 hours of meddling and thinking "each variation sounds the same to me - what is going on?!". After that, I reached out for VoS EpicVerb again.bk wrote:Chances are, even with a description of the different variations, you're going to have to listen to each, with varying material, to determine whether you like it or not.
So I'd like to have a manual to get to "know" what each module is supposed to to what, not run a guessing game or maybe even use a "Placebo" effect with a "shiny UI" (Crysonic SpectraPhy comes to mind).
It doesn't matter if a tool costs 500quids, mere 1c or if it's freeware. I really don't care. If you want to be taken serious in the audio realm, you provide a manual that not only consists of a "how to install".bk wrote:It's a fairly simple reverb plug. I don't feel a manual is necessary.
"just invest some time, man!" "use your ears" "this this is so simple, it doesn't need a manual"
I'm sick of excuses like that.
Not only that - ever thought of Musicians and upcoming Audio Engineers that know jack squat about reverbs? "Oh hey, learning by doing - that's how I did it, so you should do so as well".
Right ...not!

I do not often agree with compyfox but in this case he is right, I also did not hear differences using different variations.
I would like to know what they supposed to be....

The differences are pretty clear tbh, use the mute functions to listen to the earlies and tail separately. You can use arrow keys to select variations and pick the one that sounds best for the application.rasmusklump wrote:I do not often agree with compyfox but in this case he is right, I also did not hear differences using different variations.

On the other hand, if you can't hear any difference, what the variants technically are doesn't really matter, does it?

1. If you made tests when paremeters "damp. int", and "h. damp." were set lightly, you could not hear a differences, because all variations were simple variations of WHITE NOISE, in which the upper frequencies slowly fall off.
2."Reverb variations" have different densities and have resonant frequencies due to this.
One of the drawbacks of algorithmic reverbs is the appearance of resonant sounds that may be heard well on drums. "Reverb variations" are made also for that if you hear the resonances you may change "Reverb variations" for eliminating them, for select the best option.

correction: WHITE NOISE of impulse characteristic of reverb tail.

Look at Waves manuals, e.g. Renverb, for a great example of how to put some nice general info and history into your product manuals.denis_prophet wrote:Okay. I will write short manual.

That bugfest of a DAW is currently at version 5.4, and OrilRiver's latest version works perfectly in it.heyheycnv wrote:New GUI is black rectangle in Reaper 4.77 X64.
Old version worked fine.
