I don’t think “#” and “b” are apparent in FL Studio or Reason, so 95% of the users wouldn’t know how to use them.

I disagree. How often do you see a whole post wasted wit ha simple "+1" or a single word, like "yep"? A like button seems like a much better idea to me and it's something I have, on occasion, lamented the lack of.

Really? I can't. You like the content, you watch it to the end. I don't even know why they allow comments on YouTube, other than to get people to spend more time there so they can be more thoroughly advertised to.

But it is clutter and just makes threads longer than they need to be. I thought that would be even more appreciated if you are accessing from a phone.
