i always called it the 'pant leg effect' lol... amp sims don't have the ability to make your bell bottoms flutter in the breeze lol

cheers
since seeing sunn0))) live, i call it the "turning bones to dust effect".

They said September. So you’re expectations are a few weeks early.

Could be as many as six weeks away.
Missed that, I have stopped hitting F5 on the IK page now, thanks!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

if IK follows release of TONEX with a pedal that can play TONEX captures, this is going to be huge. i didn't get the X-GEAR pedals because they don't quite fit my workflow, but a box with TONEX captures? sign me up!
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

I have pre-ordered Capture - I have 6 or 8 amps I still use from my amp-building days, and it will be great to have them modeled and be able to use them with other cab IRs.

Peter - my question is, an maybe it's too late since I've already pre-ordered, but I'd really like the Tonex version of the software (upgrade from the SE included with Capture). Is there bundle available to get Capture with Tonex?

There isn't a specific bundle but I put in a request for a logical upgrade to TONEX MAX for TONEX Capture pre-orderers (er-er-ers, weird word/probably not a real word).

hey Peter, it's September as of 11 hours ago, where's TONEX?! :D

Still another 3 hours to go here, and 11 hours in Italy, as of this post, but I can feel it, it's a comin', not long now.
Hope we don't have to wait another 4 weeks, that would be a true downer

I pre ordered the SE version to get a decent Deluxe Reverb since Fender Collection 1 is so dated and IK don't update old stuff frequently.

@Peter, will you publish new videos before release?

Now, one thing I don't like the TH-U Rig Player packs I have is that you can't easily add a Spring Reverb in between the amp and the cab. I'm hoping with IK's approach, where they have the option of sampling the amp and cab separately, that doing so will be as easy as loading two of these profiles one for the amp, another for the cab, and sticking the '63 Spring module in between. It's not a Fender Blackface amp without the Spring in there!

Peter, I'm assuming that will be totally possible, is that accurate?

I guess you’d have to capture two separate things: front input to preamp output and power amp input to speaker output. Maybe load the preamp model as a pedal? There might be a better way to do it but this would work.

With that said, reverb tank before amp is a great sound.

True, but works best with a clean amp. Gets gnarly if you start driving the amp.

I’ll make and send you an impulse of the Universal Audio Dream 65 pedal with the reverb at 100%. Try that as an aux send for TH-U or TONEX and let me know if it sounds convincing to you or not.

TH-U, Well you can disable the cab and use 3rd party IR loader after TH-U and your reverb in between, or use SuperCabinet in the same fashion. Personally I haven't found a cab IR within TH-U including Rig packs that doesn't suck, I always use 3rd party IR's. You can get some good cab's for SuperCabinet though, the Jensens are pretty good.

As for IK's approach, apparently you can separate/have separate amps\cabs, Peter has mentioned it several times at different places. I could find the links for you, but honestly I couldn't be bothered proving something I personally know to be true, sorry.

Well I got a bit of energy up,

https://gearspace.com/board/showpost.ph ... stcount=78

and here from the announcement blurb
The Player's extensive sound-editing section comes with full EQ, noise-gate, pre and post compressor, depth and presence controls, plus a high-quality reverb and VIR™, IK's Volumetric Impulse Response technology with multi-IRs per cabinet. Thanks to AI Machine Modeling, amps and cabinets captured as Tone Models can also be separated so users can experiment with their own IRs or use IK's VIR™ technology to access hundreds of ultra-authentic virtual cabs and IRs to complete their tone. All of this customization can then be saved into a Tone Model preset.

It has been mention by Peter in more places, but I really don't have time or energy to spare.

All the best.
