It gives the competition more impetus to grow. Hence, we all enjoy better and better instruments.
Behold the Hive king!
Definitely but I suggested visual feedback since 2-3 months ago and I always prefer to let the user decide optional how well his hardware is like in games. Better more options than not of course improved options which are working heheUrs wrote:More visual feedback might happen, but we need to stay considerate with the CPU usage of UI drawing. We can't have a low CPU synth that eats up your CPU for some flashy graphics
As for blank UI spaces... we will need that and we want to keep the option to add/move something once we fulfill feature requests.
I just noticed there is a gamma setting in the preferences, if stuff is too dark might want to try adjusting that.RICHARD F wrote:yes i prefer the old look too it was one of the main reasons i brought hive that and the sound . The knobs are really dark now . the old style knobs looked better imo please change back to the old design :} i love the futuristic, alien, look
Howard has put up a poll thread about that. Voting might help get the interface the way you like it.SoundGoddess wrote: I just noticed there is a gamma setting in the preferences, if stuff is too dark might want to try adjusting that.

Well-spotted, thanks. Fixed for the next beta.SoundGoddess wrote:A couple errors in the manual, there are two sections for Feedb on page 31, and on page 32 "common" is misspelled.
I mentioned the "common" error on Fri 3rd April. There's another one:Howard wrote:Well-spotted, thanks. Fixed for the next beta.SoundGoddess wrote:A couple errors in the manual, there are two sections for Feedb on page 31, and on page 32 "common" is misspelled.

Howard has done an excellent job creating the Hive User Guide, and I very much look forward to seeing the finished version. In the meantime, I found a couple of spelling errors, as follows:
p28 Reverb, "hangers" => "hangars"
p32 Compressor, "coomon" => "common"
On a side note, I really enjoyed your presets. Some of my faves for Hive.mcnoone wrote:If anyone experiences any issues with installing the latest version of Hive, I'll suggest the first thing to do would be a clean re-install. Remove the old versions first then install.
I had some strange sound, midi, and gui behavior with the latest version.
When I did a reinstall, all the problems went away, and everything worked fine again.
