Awesome... AMD piledriver? I was thinking of upgrading to that. What DDR3 and Mobo do you have?cactoos_dahoo wrote:I had some problems with SynthMaster as well (under Renoise). Great plugin though! Just quick copy/paste, sorry ;]bjporter wrote:Awesome... AMD piledriver? I was thinking of upgrading to that. • CPU: AMD (Piledriver) FX-8320 3.50GHz (4.00GHz Turbo) Eight-Core Processor - 16MB Cache
• RAM: 16GB PC3-12800C9 1600MHz DDR3 (2x8192MB) Dual-Channel Memory (32GB Supported) - Delivers unparalleled bandwidth
• Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 AMD 760G Chipset Motherboard
+ windows on SSD ( all vsts on second "standard" HDD though, so far is quick enough for me ;] )
just example : renoise + edirol UA-25 USB in ASIO 5ms + 11x Dune + roughly... 80 fxs ( native + loads vsts as epicVerb, densitymkIII etc.. ) cpu usage under Renoise 45% using 4 cores ( 2 cores 64%) , but interesting thing is - same ~45% when i switch to 8 cores... maybe renoise fault maybe mine maybe it's correct ;]

Not sure what you want. There are many more One Synth Challenges to come, and the last day to submit to a challenge is always the last day of the month.JKF Flashico wrote:Hi, does anyone know is this last One Osc Challenge?

I'm pretty much finished with sound design, hopefully I'll be tracking tomorrow and then a few days left for mixing,
CrimsonWarlock aka TechnoGremlin, Moved to Reason and Rack Extensions exclusively (from Reaper and VSTs) several years ago.

I'm really looking forward to hearing your submission crimsonwarlock, being the one done with the "simplest" synth so far.
Slightly offtopic, but have to say it, your legendary thread helped me greatly years ago when I decided to go all freeware.
On the other hand, I finished with the sound design the other day, and together with the intended sounds, some surprising ones emerged, and the resulting track is even farther than what I initially intended. And for now the the structure is a complete mess (or the lack of it completely). With the unforeseen sounds came unforeseen musical ideas and it so chaotic at the moment. Hopefully I will manage to refine it into a somewhat listenable and less embarrassing one before the deadline.
Back to arranging and mixing
Good luck all

Makes me really angry becouse RhinoCM,ans Synthmaster CM dont work in my computer i get tips for synthmaster but needs too much work i think... totally offtopic expect i dont have opornity test if synthmaster is good synth for my aste or not becouse demo version has too many limits. but what quick tests says is not best possible becouse i get quickly ugly filter sounds which are harder with many synths...

Personally, I think Synthmaster is a great synth! I'm not nearly as fond of the CM version. The real deal has some great sounding filters and is really flexible! I started a one-synth track with it a couple months ago but got sidetracked with the actual OSC...JPQ wrote:Makes me really angry becouse RhinoCM,ans Synthmaster CM dont work in my computer i get tips for synthmaster but needs too much work i think... totally offtopic expect i dont have opornity test if synthmaster is good synth for my aste or not becouse demo version has too many limits. but what quick tests says is not best possible becouse i get quickly ugly filter sounds which are harder with many synths...
