Does it still say 7.0.2 or am I downloading the wrong windows 64bit file?
Just want to make sure, because the mouse cursor still shows the eraser when hovering over notes in the pattern editor.

It's version M7.0.7 now. Please note that after installing the complete zip package you still have to update the app (= .exe and .ID files on Windows)(= .app file on Mac) to the latest version in the smaller zip file.

I don't see your point, sorry, but as you wish. I'll see how I get on with it as is, but what gets me is why you have two methods for deleting notes? Double click and right click. Strange to have both. If you keep right click then remove double click and use it for something else maybe?

Naturally I'm with Jo on the right click= delete on notes. It's not uncommon and makes a very good workflow. And workflow is paramount, if you asked me.

Some things only need some getting used to, like having multiple notes selected and hoping to deselect them by clicking elsewhere, which creates a note. It's cool, but takes some getting used to.

I know, it's a pain to keep changing the version number for every compile. I tend to skip some, when I'm in update frenzy like you right now, hehe... so... I just want to make sure, I'm in sync with you all. Otherwise I keep bothering you about the mouse cursor (eraser).

Cause it was like that and i try to maintain compatibility / habitude, and at the same time it's also like that in many other DAWs so it's also good for users who come from other DAWs.

Only if you have the pnecil tool selected, but then that's exactly what's the pencil tool for: To create notes on the fly with a single click. When using the pencil tool you can unselect all notes by [Shift]+click.

That's the complete M7.0.2 package including graphic files etc, you still need to update to M7.0.7 by updating the 2 files in the small zip file.

I thought it was like in the past: zip vs. installer exe.

That would be a pain during a development phase such as this (for the user!) and would need to be configurable (by the user!) to opt in to test phases (which aren't available to all users, so more confusion). Maybe for stable/release builds - it's fairly easy to have the build create a version file and have the software check its version against that; storing the URL of the update in the version file means it's easy to ensure people are going to the right place to pick it up, too. But given that "the stable build" is always here, making sure you've got it (as a user) isn't really any trouble, hardly worth adding to the application... but then I spend more time on KvR than in MuLab .

In principle a right-click opens the context menu for the clicked object. Notes don't have a context menu. If you want the context menu of the part/sequence, right-click the background. In fact that's constistent behaviour as it is now.

I'll agree that the context menu that appears is the context menu for the clicked object. That notes don't have a context menu now doesn't mean they shouldn't have one . But I'm used to how it works (although do I keep expecting "ctrl-click" to toggle selection and "shift-click" to extend selection).

I agree with the principle and that's exactly the reason why i have been firmly avoiding the right-click = delete note(s) for many years. But then it turns out that the penalty is too big and so i give in now by making that one single exception to the right-click rule.

I understand, but that's another discussion. I'll avoid discussing this for now (my apologies for that) cause it could lead to a complicated discussion about modifier keys, which are a platform specific thing too, and i don't want to delay M7.0 for this. Maybe the discussion can be done at a later point in time, if it turns out to be relevant/necessary for many users.

Hi Jo, I'm having a problem with the step sequencer, creating a simple drum loop and changing something in first step etc.. also changes the offset of the last step
you can check this?
