They were pretty specific about the update in the Namm videos man. People who bought it have a valid reason to offer suggestions to improve it. Relax

I agree about the arp, as it would be very cool to use it as a mod source for other targets.vertibration wrote: Wed Mar 13, 2019 8:12 pm They need to add the arp as a modulation source to control all other parameters aside from just pitch.
Frankly, I find it extremely annoying that their hardware profiles lack the ability to get access directly to specific parameters without the hardware hooked up. I use a few Max4live editors that do the trick, but I would rather stay in the box.
About the hardware profiles: I am just glad they added all those sounds, modeled waveforms and patches.
You mentioned hardware profiles and parameters with no access. Couldn't you use MIDI learn on a regular keyboard controller to change settings anyway? Or maybe I am not understanding what you meant. Eric mentions they added a bias control that is in the D-50 for example. Hopefully that can be accessed normally with MIDI learn and/or other settings within Omni itself, as I don't have a D-50 or the PG-1000.

Yes, I think that's probable, unless the hardware control is some kind of fudge for multiple parameters simultaneously. I doubt it though, as you say Eric mentioned that there was an added feature for this.Examigan wrote: Fri Mar 15, 2019 11:04 am Eric mentions they added a bias control that is in the D-50 for example. Certainly there will never be a feature that is possible with a hardware profile that isn't available at all to software-only users, it's just that one hardware control can affect many parameters simultaneously to make it a smoother programming experience. That's the nice thing about being able to use Midi Designer Pro (or similar) templates, you can recreate that much at least with a tablet.

If it is going to be released on one of the regular "business" days, there's a 1 in 10 chance it will be this Monday - 3/18.
I hope they don't push the release date out later.

Just curious - those of you who are champing at the bit for 2.6, what are you most feverishly excited for? The Arp? Specific hardware integration? A bunch-o new patches? The D-50 stuff?
I've got an excuse, there's an MS20iC waiting for it.

The D-50 sounds Eric mentions in the videos. There are many other new sounds/patches that are supposed to be included.
Also, the arp improvements are definitely a bonus.

Can't wait! I wonder if it will be initially released as a public beta?

I think it will just be released, I don’t think they will need a public beta for this.

Yes, with 2.5 the public beta started at the same time as the announcement, not so here.
