Not a big deal, but quick access to Port Setup without clicking a drop-down menu was great as is. It doesn't even look right in V8.

My details show it as "vendor: gift" and my update plan goes until March 4 2026. Yes, I think it is very good upgrade for v6. I don't know! It seems faster starting but still laggy a little bit in playing clips (visually) in the arrangement. I need more than one day to have an opinion about it. Oh, they changed the lovely icon of Studio One!
First impression is great
It is the upgrade how it should be v7 I believe. It is faster/snappier than v6 (Windows 11). I haven't installed it on my Macbook yet, but I think I will soon.Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Well....no "gift" from Fender for me but for now....I'm headed for the Fender Custom shop to score one of these beauties!!

I know it's superficial but they finally updated the GUI's on the included instruments (coming from version 6) . The guitar plug in sounds great, way better than the useless Amplifier. I honestly dont mind if they cater a little more to band/ guitar players...the included demo song is now full on rock which is kinda refreshing.

It might be a third party store thing.. when you did not buy from Fender Store directly, but from Sweetwater or Thomann and just entered the license code, then it might be categorized as "gift".. or it is a temporary account migration gremlin..
