I was just checking out the ACE demo, and this can certainly be done. It can open up worlds of crazy.

There's a trick for automating ACE's cables via MIDI... it' sin one of the threads somewhere... I could dig it out...

My Kore template for ACE also employs this trick - there are knobs specifically for moving and automating cables. Very useful for rapidly sweeping through a set of patching options to create new sounds.

Yes, it's fantastic. I wish all mod source selections were automatable in all synths. Great for Kore and automap and all host mapping systems. Zebras mod sources are also automatable in the same way. The only difference is that with ACE you see cables, in Zebra you see the modulator as a selection from a menu. Behind the scenes it seems to be the same.

That's a great typo

Hi Urs,

it may be obvious but what about an arpeggiator for the Juno/Jupiter synth modes? I mean those beautiful JU60 arpeggios were/are really really nice ;)
If already considered for the final version this hint may be redundant...

Cheers!

The whole arp/sequencer business of them u-he plugs needs to be rewritten ;)

(we still hope to get multicore happening, and then we want to see what it means in terms of event scheuling et al)

Is multicore support being up and running the next roadblock to cross before you'll release the next public beta? Any progress at all on that front?

Post

I wasn't able to find this, but is DIVA going to be available as a 64-bit AU upon release?

Diva works as a 64-bit AU now, so the answer would be: yes.

Peace,
Andy.

I would far rather have an arp/sequencer than multicore support

From what I understood we won't get the one without the other!?

I know GPU's aren't really usable for running more than one plugin (ie convolution reverb) as they ... serial calculation .. something .. not parallel? Well, considering that diva can beat any convolution reverb in her sleep, would it be possible to have a gpu version of diva? If you disregard the rewrite of the code for a second of course.. :) Just playing with the thought ;)

There is CUDA for Nvidia GPUs. No idea if this could be used for a synth?
