I guess the Geoblend modes sound a bit duller than Massive/Serum when used for bass sounds with a rich spectrum. I guess that's because the drawable wavetables have only 128 samples. I suspect if the same waveforms were replicated in GeoMorph they would not sound duller anymore. A few Osc Fx might help too, but they might colour the waveforms.
That won't be a problem in Zebra3 anymore since I think we'll have choices for larger wavetables.

Good point. ^ Wut Howard sedHoward wrote:That's 3 different places. The overview of modulation assignments should all be in one list. I really like that idea. I'm very particular about documenting MW/AT etc. when saving a patch, so if there's a way to highlight parameters linked to modulators, that would be a huge time saver.

So, can I import wavetables?

I have joined this thread pretty late and offer my apologies for asking a question that has undoubtedly already seen the light of day, but is there an expected release date for Zebra 3?

that would seriously be fantastic!! besided NI's Absynth 5's amazing MSEG's i haven't seen this level of control anywhere in a softsynth.goleat wrote:
I would love to see in Zebra the ability to make every point or shape of MSEG be modulable, or something like that.

sounds very reasonable.Urs wrote:I fancy the idea of using Sperbooth 2018 as launch date.
i'm glad i have TDZ. I will get a lot more out of it until Z3 is released.. and beyond i'm sure.. Z3 is at this point the free bonus to buying TDZ back when batman was ruling the big screen.

Dressed up as Zebras in the booth I suppose?Urs wrote:I fancy the idea of using Sperbooth 2018 as launch date.
Superbooth seems so much fun. I really have to get there next year.

Sorry if this has already been discussed but is there any chance of special LFO versions of the main oscillators?
the possibilities of wavetable LFOs seems pretty amazing - you would the have the current user drawable wave ability, allowing morphable wave shapes … but then you could use the Mod Mapper to modulate the wave position for static jumps, modulate the frequency/speed with another lfo … the mid boggles pretty quickly.
Of course this would be redundant if the main oscillators could run from 0 - 20khz and be used as modulation sources as they are in Bazille but I get the impression modern computers aren’t quite up to the task yet …

I have a 2.8 question, I guess this must have been answered already but:
#1 What is the plan for Dark Zebra with the UI update, will it be included?
#2 Will the DZ sections become regular modules or still be special tabs?
#3 What about zebrify, will it also be included in the ui update?

1. Urs mentioned previously in this thread that TDZ will get a new skin, but sometime after the regular Zebra2 2.8 update.mrj1nx wrote:I have a 2.8 question, I guess this must have been answered already but:

2. As far as I know there's no plan to merge the Zebra 2.x/TDZ series. Z3 will be a rewrite so I'd imagine they'll try to avoid this split design in the 3.x. But I'm not sure.
3. I don't recall anything about Zebrify mentioned.
Feel free to call me Brian.

Pretty sure it was mentioned that an update to Zebrify is planned, but there was no clue as to when.
I for one am pretty excited about that.
