Ok, patches used in the Transmission sampler demo:

(Plucked & Struck) "A Quiet Moment" - mellow electric piano
(Pads) "Mahogany" - pad which comes in
(Pads) "Modular Life" - the LFO-modulated filter pad over the top
(Pads) "Morphasine" - the Wavestation-esque, er, morphing sine pad
(Pads) "Sub Ether" - big ambient pad
(Rhythmic & Arpeggiated) "Flitting Betsy" - the repeating and echoed synth patch
(Rhythmic & Arpeggiated) "Filtrater" - the tight synth MSEG phrased synth with the 32nds in it
(Rhythmic & Arpeggiated) "Razorshine" - digital synth with reverberated and rhythmic tails
(Rhythmic & Arpeggiated) "Dancing Prophets" - 16th note synth sequence
(Rhythmic & Arpeggiated) "Kosmeyer" - the vowely synth sequence
(Modern Synth) "Quad Nation" - the trancey lead
(Modern Synth) "Serendipity" - the filter resonance-y ambient synth bit
(Modern Synth) "Vintage Dreams" - the big washy digital synth bit
(Ambiences, FX & Soundscapes) "Phrozen Domes" - icy, ethereal scrapes
(Basses) "Xtra Funk Machine" - Bass
(Classic Synth) "Gartside" - analog pulse poly synth
(Organic) "Morning Fire" - glitchy, ambient beautifulness (I love this patch! Try doing that on Synth1 ;) )
(Pads) "Treacle" - the pad that comes in with a deep thick bass note
(Modern Synth) "Hard Res Syncer 2 (Bad Cables!)" - the sync bend patch
(Leads) "Mini Sync Lead" - the morphing lead patch (with apologies for the playing!)
(Pads) "Arcadia" - nice pad
(Pads) "To The Infinite Pad" - another smooth pad
...and a couple notes from the first "A Quiet Moment" patch to finish off, because I just like it a lot! ;)

All of these were used plain at the default XY positions, with no controller stuff going on, except "Quad Nation" where I was raising the mod wheel to open the filter, because, well, it's a trance lead patch, it seemed rude not to! :)

It's going to take quite a while to really get into the depths of this... I'm just enjoying the sound and playability so much :hihi: :D

Okay, so now I'd like a portable, hardware (I know, I know!) version of Z2.
Nothing too extravagant: 25 keys with aftertouch, 16 knobs/sliders and 4 touchpads, and at least 4 parts multi-timbral... then we're away! :hihi:

(Actually, better make that 37 keys, just to be safe)

Thanks for the list of presets used on the demo, beej.

Once again, a superb job on your part.

The only question here really is:

Do you want fries with that?

Sounds fantastic !!! Great work

Very nice patches, and I really like the patch template idea. Also, kudos for the excellent documentation (and for the skin, which for me is kinder on the eye than the default one).

Great Stuff. Some really useful patches.
I have only one request. A way to audition and change patches without using the mouse would be useful. Or have I missed the obvious?

I'm working on it

One question, if I select an OSC preset, it loads not only the OSC settings, but it's also adding LFO's and such to my rack depending on the OSC preset. This normal? Seems to make it more of a patch template then, and not just OSC presets?

Post

I'm not in front of my Zebra right now, but if I understand you correctly...

OSC settings will load up LFOs if they're used in the OSCs.

If you somehow get LFOs when loading only WAVEFORM templates then I'm clueless. ;)

I think there's a bit in the manual about this. You need to load another OSC in another column then copy / paste the OSC settings you want from there into your original OSC. Is this what you mean? It's in the manual after all the patch descriptions.
