just for fun : should we fear the next 666 revision ?

:P

This release candidate sounds like it's been refurbished one more ..or I'm noticing this because I've put Diva aside for hmm ..2 days now? :D

I would've been perfectly happy with a *exceptionally* narrow, and not irreversible shift in behavior but this seems just a bit happier :)

This multicore performance is a real game-changer for me. Wooooooo!

Here's a test build for KORE 2 Mac:

- Does it still crash (AU 32 bit)?
- Please put Diva.log on your desktop and send us the result if it still crashes

(also... don't take this build too serious... it's just there to see if it crashes in Kore2 Mac... but it seems to not even laod there... can anybody confirm that?)

Hi everyone,

I made a new demo song with the latest DIVA release for Windows, eight instances of DIVA in Ableton Live 8, absolutely NO additional drums or effects used. DIVA pure!

Hi Urs,

I can confirm that the 32 and 64 AU versions are showing up in the browser (in the relevant version) but both do create the spinning beach ball of doom on loading. (I'm reasonably sure that previous versions were functioning okay within Kore).

The 32bit VST is not showing up at all in the Kore 32bit browser.

(64bit AU Diva is working fine in Maschine btw... I've found that a lot of the time these two follow each other with bugs but not this time!).

I'm on OSX 10.7.3 by the way.

Are ou talking 665 or 667?

665 (linked on first post) is supposed to crash while 667 (linked some posts before) supposedly works ok in Kore 2.

The 32 bit VST does show up in the browser if you trash the cached version and rescan. For some reason though I can't get any ksd's made with it to show up - it's weird. The AU 665 was crashing Kore but that seems to have been fixed now with 667 - cool.

I'm getting no crashes w/t the latest 665 rev.

My bad, I missed the 667 link, only saw your post below it and went to confirm using 665.

VST is now showing up in Kore32 (after trying aMUSEd's clear cache tip) and AU is now loading fine in both 32 and 64 bit Kore.

What I am finding (which is new after 665) is that I'm getting a lot of audible clicking, mostly after engaging the multi-core mode in both Kore and Maschine, which wasn't present previous to 667. The CPU meters aren't registering like there should be a problem and I've gone up to 256 from 128 samples (in both Kore and Maschine).

I've 'recorded' a log from that utility, let me know where to send it and I'll sort that out.

Alan

EDIT: Am also finding the same thing in Live. Seems to be linked to MC mode... I'm playing MK Flute 5th in draft mode and only starts clicking when MC Mode is engaged.

Yeah, those crackles are short drop outs.

All this (Kore crashes, drop outs) is related to our new Note scheduling that's been necessary for multicore support.

We'll try to fix it today, otherwise we'll postpone release by a month, because each of us has booked vacations throughout the month from Friday.
