Actually, it has been discussed a few times: I have mentioned that both the pianos and bases sound great, somewhere in this thread; just in case you missed it, I am saying it againPeter - IK Multimedia wrote:One of the standouts that I don't see discussed here, too, is the Bass category that seems to get raves:

I think a couple of things need to be put into perspective about this release:
1. ST3 has taken too long to produce, given the amount of hype that both IKM and its customers have perpetuated. No matter what, and even if you released the most perfect product, you had to expect these types of responses, right? On Facebook, Twitter, KVR, and on your own forum, you have produced so many stops and starts to this product it's amazing people are responding as positively as they have been. All things considered, I would take the mixed responses as a compliment
2. KVR is a notoriously tough crowd. People here express their mind freely, and with that comes things that are difficult to hear. Many folks here are seasoned and quite intelligent; they can see through the difference between embedded marketing messages and genuine responses. When you mix marketing messages -- outside of the ads that exist to the right and top of us -- into a conversation between music enthusiasts you need to expect a certain amount of backlash. Frankly, I find it disorienting, confusing, and even humorous at times that marketing language shows up so frequently in our discussions. I understand this reflects the time we live in -- product placement and embedded marketing have become commonplace --; still, be honest with yourself about how your delivery is going to translate here.
In all, I am less disappointed than I expected to be. FWIW, I am somewhat disappointed, but think it is still worth the upgrade price of $99 -- I wouldn't pay more than that though
Right now, I still think this product has potential. Imo, if you want to succeed, beyond the initial success you had at this release, I would suggest listening to some of these criticisms; of course, that is up to you and IKM
