Is it possible to save DIVA patches using h2p extended and to use the "save only active modules" setting from Zebra? I am thinking of digging into editing them in a text editor...

Im getting more voices in Logic compared to ableton -
At 128 samples buffer on mbp 2.26 Core 2 Duo and 4gb Ram
In Ableton with AU I get max 4 voices on the Glass Disharmonica patch in the Poly folder.
In Logic I get 5 voices. I know its only a voice but... its 25% extra power? I dunno - it might be my imagination - in Logic playing Diva, its less prone to overload when it reaches the maximum amount of voices the processor can handle. Logic seems to handle it far better than Ableton. I think ive had this experience with most soft synths. Ableton has a fit whenever you do anything processor intensive. Its a pity because - Id love to use Diva live, but chances are itll be in Ableton.

For live in Live, I'll be considering Diva a monophonic synth... (or Duo) but you can still have some crazy fun!jumpercable wrote:Im getting more voices in Logic compared to ableton -

Sweet! ha. That was very cool. Yeah - I actually tried it with my interface after and I can get up to 6 voices with divine. (The original was based on my built in soundcard) It wasnt necessarily to complain or comment about the cpu usage (as I do think its very manageable - your upload is testament to that - you get ALOT of mileage from a single oscillator). I was just noting the difference between how ableton and logic deal with it. I was surprised that there was a difference at all. People might get more mileage out of using it with Mainstage/Logic if they want more voices.

Anyways - I think we get very ahead of ourselves - limitations can be a good thing - back in the day, Im sure having 4 voices at all was something futuristic and unattainable. Id rather 4 voices of mind blowing subtleties than 20 voices of meh!

I love this synth, great sound and great options for creating hybrid analog emulations of past years.
This is one of the best I have used for a soft synth.
I have one request, please make a GUI size that fits the iPad 2.
I use Air Display which allows the dragging of the Diva over to the iPad screen from my Mac Book Pro with all the functions of the touch screen abilities to work on the Diva......but it is a little small.
It would great if you added just one more size so the Diva fills the iPad2 screen and my fat fingers can tweak it better.
Thanks
Richard

Richard, Urs mentioned a few pages ago(*) on this thread he's working on a much more flexible re-sizing method. No idea when it'll make it into the u-he product line but it sounds perfect for you!richardb09 wrote:I love this synth, great sound and great options for creating hybrid analog emulations of past years.

Live has less CPU headroom because of its realtime capabilities, session view, all the things you can do in realtime while recording... you lose some cpu headroom to get that stuff...jumpercable wrote:pdxindy wrote:For live in Live, I'll be considering Diva a monophonic synth... That will be sweet if it can re-size by 10% increments, like stated in earlier Urs.bmrzycki wrote:Richard, Urs mentioned a few pages ago(*) on this thread he's working on a much more flexible re-sizing method. As I experiment with the filters on this sweet little synth I can get a juicy wet sound like my slim phatty hardware (that has a real moog filter.)
I am blown away by this synth ......and also the animoog (made for iPad), all of a sudden my hardware is sitting unused for a few days while I am mesmerized by the sound of these new soft synths.

I probably missed it, but what are the little yellow warning signs in the GUI now?

I'm pretty sure it means those parameters are modulated by something.djanthonyw wrote:I probably missed it, but what are the little yellow warning signs in the GUI now?
There's a note of it in the mod matrix section.

I see, yea. Maybe another symbol would be better, instead of something associated with a warning though, Urs?

Agreed... I thought maybe a little led comes on... but really cool would be a bit of glow around the knob or something like that!djanthonyw wrote:I see, yea. Maybe another symbol would be better, instead of something associated with a warning though, Urs?
