Same here. It's a Lion 10.7 issue.
Doesn't happen here on 10.6x in Live8x

Fear not Urs, it appears to be something in my setup. It happens occasionally but isn't repeatable so I don't think it's a bug. I'll keep an eye on the way DIVA's behaving over the next couple of builds and keep you informed.

I guess this was probably reported already.
From the 1st beta to the latest, saving some presets... (not all) at the Divine highest sound quality settings, then close the session, and open a new.
Some of them revert back to "Great" and "same" settings again and again.
Sometimes it changes different sounds. It's very odd behavior.

EDIT: I fixed this problem.
I just needed to enter my registration code...which I totally forgot to do until now.

I know this is probably way too late to ask... but it sure would be nice if there was a way to assign a modulation range to something so, for instance, you could get the aftertouch to control the filter cutoff but not have it end up at zero when the default of the patch was not. You know, like some other synths... ;)

Diva is crying out for a modulation matrix. I seem to remember Urs saying it wasn't going to get one, but I keep wishing it was there. I run out of modulation routings far too quickly, though it forces me to go into the adder and multiplication sections to get more.

Someone mentioned that the modules in Diva would eventually end up in Zebra. When this happens, would it be free for existing Zebra owners, or would it cost extra?

I can't get 477 to show up as a VST in Cubase 6 (x64 Win7), anyone else experiencing the same problem? Or should I post this in the bug thread?

The last beta worked just fine (465 I believe it was), but even if I rescan the plugins in Cubase's plugin manager, it still doesn't appear. Novation's Automap software actually found it and wrapped it, but since the actual VST is not found by Cubase, it won't load (no error messages)

I would surely like a gain knob on the adder and multiplier so I can control the balance between the two inputs.

Same here. :(

It seems like Cubase can't cope with the reduction in parameter count that happened recently. Please delete the plugin blacklist file... and let me know if that does it...

I may be misunderstanding your question, but I think we already can do what you are asking for (maybe we need another example?).

For example, in the patch shown below aftertouch (aka pressure) is modulating the filter cut-off by a positive amount of 48 (semitones) with the cut-off returning to the default value in the patch (in casu 64) when the amount of aftertouch is 0:

Quality settings are per instance - that way you choose it once when you open a Diva and you can browse presets without major surpises (hopefully).

Presets should generally be made to sound best in Divine mode. Those should sound very close in Fast, but a few high resonant ones might be barely recognizable in Draft mode.

This is different in ACE where the quality settings often have a substantial effect on the sound. That's why quality is saved with preset in ACE.

We can't copy the modules 1:1, that wouldn't make sense in Zebra.

We will however add our knowledge into new modules, and probably apply our simulation technology onto e.g. the XMF in Zebra.

I'm confident that this will start happening next year.

So far I have charged only once for an update, which was 20$ from Zebra 1 to Zebra 2. I won't rule out that there'll be an upgrade fee, but I also can't see us doing anything dramatic.

Urs, could you also explain a bit more how you see the relation between Diva and Tyrell? In particular, I'm curious about how the Tyrell background did end up inside Diva?

(And don't forget to clean it up for release? At least it'll save you 410kb x the KVR horde on server bandwidth... ;) )

Well... hmmm... there's not much left of TyrellN6 in Diva.

A long time ago Diva had started out as an attempt to model the compoennts of Juno and Jupiter synths. Then came that Tyrell project on Amazona.de, for which I could use the existing code. Shortly thereafter I hired Clemens who spent his first year at u-he re-implementing and optimising the oscillators, filters and envelopes in Diva. In that course, the parts that were used in Tyrell had been completely changed.

Diva was a moving target from the beginning. In the end she became way more than we ever expected.
