I think we are gunna have to agree to disagree at that point
Hm, that's actually not QUITE true... Izotope Trash allows you to chain two distortion types (like a 12AX7 tube into a 6L6 or EL34). That can have a very similar effect to preamp + amp sim.daGuru wrote:Actually, that's got me thinkin' ... Remember crappy Revalver, with the preamp AND amp modelling.... hmmmmm... No other software amp sims. seem to do this anymorezz... I wonder... a big missing step, maybe
That's not bad. I think the echo is helping it a bit also though. Not a punchy as I'd like, but certainly not bad. Reminds me of George Lynch's Dokken tone a little.Niksounds wrote:What are you saying Jeff?Guitarjeff wrote:See that's the problem. These Amp sims can't do good rhythm sounds. None of them I've heard can. I spent hours trying to get a Sykes-like rhythm tone. I spent about 5 minutes on the lead tone. I still think that could be better also, but you get the idea.
Jeff
This sound is not the maximum, but for me the attack is near to good...
