Gnarl is something else. While gnarl is usually percieved as extremely obnoxious by most audiophiles, gnarf is a pleasing effect, and not gnarly, like gnarl.
Also, jmh, I think my own filter sounds better than those in the soundexamples you linked to there.

I don't give a cent on what anybody calls anything and if this is the correct buzzword.
What are audiophiles anyway? I'm a musician and audio engineer and I con't care if anybody calls it gnarf, gnarl, bleps, blippyness, oomph or phardt. It has to rock in the end. Another buzzword, hehe
