i believe this has been answered that u-he plugs have trouble installing in a 'read only' area - \program files\ is such an area.. you could move your VST folder down to X:\VST\ - i have had it that way for years as i often need to see my folder..SJ_Digriz wrote:I purchased and installed but am getting
"file couldn't be created to C:\program files\vstplugins\synth\diva.data\com.u-he.diva.midimap.txt"
while launching Cubase 6 (both x64 and x86). Cubase then blacklists Diva. I know how to un-blacklist. But I don't know what's causing the error. The diva.data directory is there with all the files.
Win7 x64
Any ideas?

Thank you.ford442 wrote:i believe this has been answered that u-he plugs have trouble installing in a 'read only' area - \program files\ is such an area.. you could move your VST folder down to X:\VST\ - i have had it that way for years as i often need to see my folder..SJ_Digriz wrote:I purchased and installed but am getting

If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

I just downloaded the trial of Diva. On the website it says:
"Diva works without restriction until December 31st 2011. From then on you will notice a mild crackle, the demo restriction that will remind you to visit our shop."
Fair enough. But on my system (MB Pro 17" Early 2011, 10.6.8, Live 8, Diva AU), Diva crackles right from the start. I'm not talking of CPU overload or anything like that but occasional, vinyl like crackle. And it's only Dec 23!

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Yep, that's the file permissions problem. There's a post here: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=306890SJ_Digriz wrote:"file couldn't be created to C:\program files\vstplugins\synth\diva.data\com.u-he.diva.midimap.txt"
The idea is to move your Diva.data folder into your Documents and then make a shortcut back to it also named Diva.data.

Awesome Awesome Awesome! Urs, you rock!
IMO, you so get this whole VST business! Just the installer with customisable library folder (or in the same VST plugin folder, which I strongly prefer), dead easy copy protection, customer service. A lot of small things you just get right. Love the interface! Sound quality - outstanding. Another step closer to hardware. Just bought it. Thanks!
BTW: Patch "MM Cosmic Bliss" - wow, I like Jean Michelle Jarre (am not religious about it though) - but this patch really captured what JM is about IMO! Well done!!

I guess one foolproof remedy is to just buy it!Urs wrote:Yeah... heard that... might have time to look into it tomorrow... confused too...Spitfire31 wrote:I just downloaded the trial of Diva. On the website it says:
