Go ahead and twitter, Urs!

This build is crackle free on my MB Pro 17" Early 2011, 10.6.8, Live 8!

Merry Xmas!

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Ok, I bought it!

Some nice presets, and very inviting to f**k them up :D

I'm still not going to sell my Slim Phatty :hihi:

Still want to buy Ace... but I have too many plugin synths...
And a Nord Rack 2....
Anyway, next purchase will be 2 Mackie MR5's :)
(talking to myself here)

Ok, Mac version now officially crackle free!

If one spirited sound designer is currently hiding with headphones under a table to avoid any Christmas chores would like to read more about everything, would the question of a manual make the poor developers head pop? I certainly does not hope so. But I am itching to distort the signals a bit and am a bit lost.

Congratulations U-he team on the release of Diva. She is something special. I am particularly appreciating at the moment what lovely noisy type sounds Diva can make. The variety and sound quality is impressive.

I get a pop followed by silence on a lot of the TUC presets. Anyone else? Doesn't matter if the quality is at great or draft. Example: the TUC Synchronized Lead patch. There's a bunch more. I also get dropped notes with his patches as well, example: the Starglitter patch.

I have a lot of issue changing patches and some crackly audio when there shouldn't be.
On patch change sometimes I just get an occasional huge audio spike. When this happens that patch won't play until I cycle off of it and cycle back.

I was still experiencing some weird noise issues with Diva - but not demo crackles, these are timed to notes/audio. They are not CPU issues - they occur on rendered-frozen tracks. They're accompanied by patches that occasionally take time to "settle" - these patches typically sound quantized for a few bars.

However, the issue is intermittent and seems to only occur with Ableton Live - I could not reproduce it in Logic. This is the case with a few plugs (Audio Damage/Phosphor has a similar problem). There seems to be some issue with Live's engine initializing a plug-in, and the first few notes/loops rendered by some instruments. Wish I could nail it down to something reproducible. I've had similar issues with Ace - usually can work around it.

Here's an example - same clip playing, first few bars sound like a bit or two missing. After that it spontaneously revolves. The 7th "snare" hit is the sound rendered properly:

In short - it's seems to be an Albeton bug, but only with certain parameters/plugs.

Live's bugginess is improving, but I think they need to work with AU devs a bit to sort out some of the issues.

:-o

First patch I try is BS Beauty Pad, which is a dead ringer for JX10 Soundtrack.

Highest quality synth here, congratulations and thanks, mostest coolest.

And a few instances quickly of this and that doesn't seem to be killing the i7 930 here, seems not to different from Ace.

The Registration Code took ok.

I downloaded Diva 1.0 today. Earlier, I was working on a song with it in Diva 467. I was using a patch called Template Mini 3 Osc (that I tweaked quite a bit, added more effects). Using an iMac OSX 10.6.8. with Cubase LE4. In Diva 467, this Diva sound played back fine in Cubase. Now, in 1.0, the play back sometimes cuts out the sound as if the note is not playing, but Cubase shows that the note is still being held down. I noticed when the sound cuts out, the Note Priority jumps from "last" to "lowest". It does this whether Accuracy is "great" or "draft". My ASIO meter is not pegging out. I have not replicated this issue when playing my keyboard manually. Anyone else having this issue or know a cure?

Are you talking about overdriving the filter? It doesn't seem that Diva is set up for that, at least not in the way that DCAM or Olga does it. (or should I say "over does it?" You'll probably have to post process it. I think Urs said that type of behavior was more of a modern synth thing and he wanted to remain true to Diva's "vintage" emulation style.

marzzz wrote:FWIW, I am also getting the "demo crackle," and DIVA (even in draft mode) pretty much overwhelms my 1st gen Unibody MacBook Pro. But hey, I am also waiting for the Ivy Bridge upgrade hopefully early next year. DIVA does sound amazing, though!
Crackle issue definitely fixed. But my biggest problem was as soon as I played the preset "the master himself" using a VAX77 for polyaftertouch, my credit card immediately went flying out of my wallet and ordered a license on its own accord! Holy $#!t!!!!
