No, should not happen.
Does it?
If it does, please email me about this, need to discuss this offline.

Indeed a bugBonteburg wrote:Mixdown/Sampla:
1. Mix down to sample
2. Navigate to the sample using the Sampla GUI
3. There is no visible waveform in the sample editor eve though the sample plays back O.K.

Why oh why doesn't OSX allow to resize a window using its borders??!Bonteburg wrote:GUI Weirdness:
I couldn't resize the window anymore between some edits and tweaks and only noticed it when I had to (OSX Dock getting in the way).
I really don't understand.
Please email Steve about this.
Ok, more on topic:
True, window grows vertically each time => bug! Will be fixed. On subsequent restarts the GUI got bigger still and now half of the mixing desk is out of bounds.
Thanks Bonte!

Yes, special attention has been paid to make all synths very compatible, so that we can work with 1 big patch library with patches that can be loaded 'inter-synth' so to say.toxicoh wrote:Both load the .MuSynth files in Library/MuSynth and Library/Synthia folders. The .wav files in the Library/Waveforms folder aren't seen by the file browser. Is that how it's supposed to work?
If you load a MuSynth patch into Sampla, Sampla becomes a MuSynth
I still want to improve the patch browser at the left of the synths so that you can also navigate up/down folder-wise. This would make it even more transparant and extra usable
It's empty because i did not yet got the time to setup a proper sample library. The Library/Sampla folder is empty. Is this a place to save new work?
Thinking about contacting a 3rd party for this. Then MU.LAB could be distributed in a boxed version including a rich sample library.
But again, i regard this as a big separate job still to be done.
These test versions are about the core technologies;
Some graphics, the content library, the docs and tutorials are all still to be done.
Looking forward to the screenshot.I'm not having Bonte's problems with GUI, but the wierd VST screen drawing isn't going away....

Yes, i know. For now, only the Meta Parameters can be automated. This was also the case in 1.1. It's on the whishlist to make ALL parameters automatable.Bonteburg wrote:a few inconsistencies -
-I was unable to automate/assign midi controllers to the more intricate parametres in sampla and multisampla (like decay time in the envelope section).
Where is that?On the other hand, some parametres show up twice for no apparent reason Gain, "Pan" and "Stereo Pan" etc.
I guess you're right-Multisampla: Keyboard should default to C3 or something similar for a scroll position. C-2 is way too low IMO.

Yep, all these OSX crash reports point to the same problem, i.e. a problem with HIViewDrawCGImage.Bonteburg wrote:two crash reports I had just now:

OSX 10.4.11
To be fixed asap!

Oh, by the way. This version was perfectly able to let me record MIDI In through a VSTi, against a playing audio track then mix down the two tracks to a file, with a couple of effects in the mix. Nothing major -- it was pretty easy. Only a couple of things I can remember needing to ask (probably not directly related to the test, more coz it's so long since I've given MULAB a workout!):
In the audio editor, it would be nice to have the timeline switchable between samples, time and MBT. I was trying to work out the BPM of the audio file -- being able to see the MBT position would have helped a lot.
Is the MIDI recording quantise grid separate from the editing quantise grid? I'm not sure where to set each, now... And can I pick which is displayed?

Added to the whishlist.pljones wrote:In the audio editor, it would be nice to have the timeline switchable between samples, time and MBT. I was trying to work out the BPM of the audio file -- being able to see the MBT position would have helped a lot.
When you choose "Quantize Notes", a grid selector pops up so you can always choose which grid to use to quantize. Is the MIDI recording quantise grid separate from the editing quantise grid? I'm not sure where to set each, now... And can I pick which is displayed?
Maybe there should be a
"Quantize Notes Using Current Grid"
"Quantize Notes Using Grid..."
Or are there any other suggestions?

One other odd one.
I've got two screens: 1280x1024 and 1024x768. If I open the plugin selector on the first screen, if fills vertically (even with the menus collapsed). When I open it on the second screen... It still uses the full 1024 height, with the top at 0 However, the second screen is bottom edge aligned with the first, so I can't actually use it, as 0 is off the top and the collapsed items aren't visible/selectable.

Little <||> thingy disappeared from the toolbox (the one you use to split sequences. I'm puzzled... Don't even know for sure if it ever was there??
