Yeah the results look a bit unpredictable. If you were going for a specific sound without all the background knowledge, it looks tough. But for just tinkering around and finding cool sounds that you then might use later, it looks hard to beat. I'm definitely tempted to get it, I'll say that.

The default hard-wired setup of ACE makes it easy to do basic, bread and butter patches. Going beyond that can be challenging at first, but shouldn't synthesists aspire to learn to use the super-flexible patch cords that the word "patch" comes from? If you never learn to patch, are you really a synthesist?

Great job on the tutorials. ACE is really fun to use and sounds great. The tutorials provide nice jumping off points for creative programming.
