El Capitan has been working okay so far with bitwig for me, too bad sylenth1 which is the one plugin I use for 70% of my sounds completely broke in bitwig, but somehow works perfectly in both Ableton and Logic

You should try spire, as far as leads go it blows sylenth out of the water, oh and it works in el capitan.Nauree wrote:El Capitan has been working okay so far with bitwig for me, too bad sylenth1 which is the one plugin I use for 70% of my sounds completely broke in bitwig, but somehow works perfectly in both Ableton and Logic

I'm using spire as well, I've just had sylenth1 for so long that I've built up a gigantic library so don't really wanna replace it entirely.HamHat wrote:You should try spire, as far as leads go it blows sylenth out of the water, oh and it works in el capitan.Nauree wrote:El Capitan has been working okay so far with bitwig for me, too bad sylenth1 which is the one plugin I use for 70% of my sounds completely broke in bitwig, but somehow works perfectly in both Ableton and Logic
I figured out you can just drag your presets or banks directly into bitwig and it'll work, so it's a bit of an awkward workaround but it'll do for now

We've had no problems with El Capitan, but we didn't check Bitwig yet...since it will not run Audio Units it's advised to delete this file from your main drive:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Sylenth1.vst
Then go to your license email and download the latest version of Sylenth1 and reinstall it. I'll inform Lennard about this, we've tested El Captitan successfully so this is new to us.

Still on 1.2, but will update to 1.3 tonight.
Still has that annoying problem with not launching a second time. Hopefully 1.3 fixes the issue.

Then why is it only Bitwig that does this? Every other application I have start a second time. Even Java based ones like IntelliJ Idea, SOAP-UI,Toscanalyzer, etc. I think the "it is Apple's problem" is BS. Sure they changed the way applications start, but that is because of security changes, to make the OS safer, like SIP, etc. They could just add a script to start the BitwigStudio exec from within the .app contents and sign the app with that script. I tried it, but the signature to the app changes(corruption) and then it won't launch at all.WXLF wrote:It's on Apple. The issue is not exclusive to Bitwig.
