I know the HIVE-folder with panes, icons and controls.
But how to change colours and design ? Its possible to change the
knob design to....old style knobs (obstructed on old analog moogs) ?
Wich software is recommended? Freeware or payware?

either load all the images into photoshop or similar and change the colors.

Or create new images using those names and replace them.

this is for knob designs for example. Otherwise as well photoshop.

you can also activate an internal skin editor, create a textfile and write into it:

!EDITOR=YES

save that as default.h2p and put into the hive preset forlder for example, reload the plugin and you should see the editor. Good luck with that, there is no documentation sadly.
