So radioactive O.o; To me it looks like it would be far too tiring to look at it for longer stretches of time...

I wouldn't call it a "new skin i made" when you simply took the DNB skin and just changed the color to that overall ugly green.

he didn't say new tho..and it's a new variation of a skin..

looks quite intense yea, but having the option is quite cool. Useful if many plugin windows are open.

thx!

No he didn't say "new" but he said: "Here is a skin for Hive that i made today" which implicit that it's a new skin and that simply is untrue: OP just re-colored the skin (which is really fine to do so) but he should not adorn hisself with borrowed plumes.

Thanks for sharing this skin - nice contrast to the standard blue skin.

A skin is a "skin", not a UI and themers are not UI designers. Almost all the skins are modification of some original skins. Ones of mine too. I even make money with borrowed plumes. wow.

Some people take it really easy thing to make color variations and say "Next, pink!" but there're 517 PNG files in Hive & just changing colors requires editing the script. It takes time and he kindly distributed one for free. I don't understand why you condemn him for just using the word "made".
Colors are part of a design, this is definitely a work and he can say he made the skin.

Well, yeah, but in case it's a modification rather than completely original skin, it's usually required to mention the original creator of all those PNGs and the script. :)

when there is no plaintiff, there is no judge. It's not other peoples deal to nitpick on other peoples right imo. The u-he batch is still in the GUI, so all is fine for them. That was the requierment by Urs in the past at least.

If I had modified a 3rd party skin I definitely would have mentioned the original creator. I searched for a few skin threads now and I haven't seen anyone that used parts of a default u-he skin mentioning that he did so (because it's obvious), so I don't know why the discussion is going on here, now. But, well, point taken.
