I'd lean towards "chance": less letters to fit on the screen. ;)

Neither! Call it "propensity"! :)

Post

"propensity" is nice, but I see that's like in italian, it's a word used when you talk about persons, human beings, no?, in fact it seems that "propensity" is used when the probability is not mesurable, I think,

in a math language "chance" is used but it's very english (french too?), "probability" it's easy to understand for italian people, as it's similar
to the italian "probabilita'", <wink>

true anyway that "chance" is short to write

how about just a % sign?

so far it's not a % on the display since it goes from 0 to 127 as a MIDI CC,
should be changed to 0..100, I'll see if it's good to do that,

thanks

Nah, 0..127% is good. It's for when everything's at 100%, and you just want to push it over the edge. Otherwise, where do you go? Nowhere!

It's... 27 more, isn't it?

Forever,

actually it's a little different, 100% = 127 as MIDI

the GUI should explain that I guess,

Post

I'm a little confused.. in the major rules you state max 3mb per kit, uncompressed..

but then later in the thread you say zip's that are 4mb are ok..

if you're letting us use 4mb zip archives, and it has compression on it.. that means the set is going to be (well) over 3mb uncompressed...

so which is it?

Post

VitaminD,

yes the rules as started were too restrictive,

so everything I added later, "ovewrites" the rules,

everything below 5 MB is fine, (another extention! <grin>)

Post

... so when do get to find out the result? :D

Forever,

Kim.

Damn! I didn't know this. I had to remove some extra velocity layers and sample points in some of my sets to keep the size down to 3MB.

Yeah - I was wondering that myself. Since there were going to be multiple prizes I had assumed that judging would occur as entries were submitted, but now I guess this won't happen until after the deadline.

judging process is running since submission,
and unless a contestant submitted pure crap
he or she is very likely to get at least one 50% bonus, <grin>

anyway the full list of prizes will be annouced with the plugin release

thanks everybody

So how much is this going to cost?

the samples library is growing a lot, and mapping all those samples to usefull kits takes a lot of time,

so I'm thinking to release it with the huge library
at 99 USD as price and maybe at half price with half library, what you think?

I think that's a great idea luigi! you could do a "NuSofting Drum Sampler Standard Edition" which would come with half the library...then a "NuSofting Sampler XL Edition" that would feature the entire library. hehe, guess you could shorten the titles by just using lite and pro. hehe. ; )

Peace!
