Sorry for the offtopic at this point, but I'd like to comment this: I think I understand your concern. To me it's more like this: sometimes I just sit there and try new things in MXXX for example. I use multiparameters for important controls and save it as a preset (in a fitting subcategory) with a good name and tags in the description so that I can use (and find!) this preset later without bothering how I could achieve this sound. Of course it's more work than just loading a ready-to-use plugin - I know.
